Looks like I recovered just in time for tomorrow's race at Longford! Get your alerts set up in case you want to join me: youtube.com/live/BcH6Am8EqlA?feature=share

In a Cisalpina-coloured 60s Tasman series car, I will compete in 2 short races at the historic circuit of Longford, Tasmania. Plenty of esports drivers are onboard, so I don't expect to be running at the top. But it should be a good challenge and hopefully entertaining.

There will also be a commented live broadcast again!

The moment I finished editing the most recent video Tuesday last week, I got totally taken out by the flu. Today is the 2nd day that I don't spend 100% in bed, trying to work a bit on my normal job. I'm probably going to take it a bit slow until the end of the weekend. So just to let you know: No new episode this week, as 0 progress has been made. Maybe I'll at least get around to answering some comments. Thanks for your patience! :) I hope you're all doing better than I did in the past few days.

... aaaand another iteration, less Japanese this time! What do you think? I believe I am almost happy. Just the C pillar is bugging me.

To those who watched yesterday's design live stream: Is this better for Cisalpina's upcoming high-end GT car? New 3D roof (still with some hard-to-resolve issues around the C-pillar), new front including in-bumper indicators (like for example Oguz suggested multiple times). It's definitely a bit more weird now, hopefully in a good way. Maybe some chromey bits can make it a bit more prestigious. I did a bit of research and found that some companies like Jaguar still used some chrome in the late 80s.

Today is a good day - new episode!

I finally made the switch over to DaVinci Resolve for the video editing. I hope to increase production values further, but this one is the first in the new pipeline. Many things I already learned to improve next time :) It is a bit shorter again (30 minutes) as a big part of the design process was already covered by the livestream last week. I also did a bit of re-work off-camera as I was struggling a bit with this one :|

Let's try to play multiplayer car & engine scenarios today on the open alpha branch of Automation! Join and fight me or watch along (or both) :)

I plan to do about 30 minutes of engine design scenarios before we switch to car scenarios, for an overall duration of at least 2 hours. If you want to practice: We will probably play on "hard" difficulty.

It's the end of 2024 and - thanks to your support - an unbelievably successful year for my channel here. Yes, I wanted to create something nice with the Cisalpina series and invested a lot of time, but I never would have imagined that it would catapult the numbers to into these new territories. More than half of the views and almost 2/3 of the watch time in 2024 go towards the Cisalpina campaign - ok, I almost didn't do anything else than this, barely managing to create a new episode every 3 weeks due to a longer break during summer.

I guess it is time to take a look back and be happy about this achievement :) And I am more motivated than ever to continue with it, and have way too many ideas for new things. We'll see how it goes!

I hope you had a good 2024, too, and are looking forward to new challenges and fun activities in 2025! I wish you all the best!

Martin
