Many Christians believe that God hardening the heart of Pharaoh meant the Egyptian king didn't have a choice in dealing with God. It's why questions like this are asked:
"Why do you think God kept hardening Pharoah’s heart?"
Did Pharaoh have a choice?

If I asked someone to describe their relationship with God and they replied by saying:
"I was circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless."
What would you think?

A lady asked Christian men, "But do you fear the Lord?" When I said, "I'm not afraid of Him. I'm in awe of Him," someone replied:
"If you seen the angel of the Lord kill 200,000 Syrian soldiers you wouldn’t be afraid? To me I feel like Fearing the Lord is reverence like you said, but also a level of actual fear as In being afraid. Bro there are some crazy stories in the Bible God ain’t nobody to play with lol"

When people first hear that Christians trying to overcome sin by living under commands will lead to keeping sin alive and being overcome by it, they will say:
"Not the 10 commandments.. and the Gospel .. that’s why we must be born again."
Yes, we must be born again. But, not to live under the 10 Commandments.

In a discussion about Genesis 6 and the reason why God flooded the Earth, this was said:
"How can an all seeing omnipresent God regret? One would think that only an imperfect being would make an error to regret it."
Do they have a point?

What can we learn from the confrontation between Moses, Aaron, and the Egyptian magicians?
"So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts ... (Exodus 7:10-11)"

When I said that the New Covenant is not like the Old Covenant and that while both were still in effect, they have different purposes, I received this comment:
"I could not disagree more. The New Covenant is EXACTLY like the old. Both are His Words. Both bring life."

Welcome to 96tolife.
The grace of God is often unwelcome. It is talked about and proclaimed by many Christians and Christian religions. However, at best, it can best be described as what people fall back to when they fail at being obedient to God through an impossible life of obedience and repentance to laws, commands, rituals, and tenets designed to modify their behavior.
I was brought up in a religious household. However, at an early age, I became frustrated with it all. I said to God, "if this is getting to know you, I won't know you." Ten years later the Lord would answer my prayer. After becoming a born-again Christian, I learned that what I sought to gain through sin could only be found in the resurrected life of Jesus Christ. Now, I desire to share the finished work of Christ and His life in the believer with all who seek to find rest from the impossible burdens of life and religion.
