Hey Everyone! So... I've been thinking about Inktober a lot lately, and whether or not I want to participate. I actually loved the process last year, and I love the artwork I made so much! However, the videos did BAD... like REALLY BAD!! I know making things to suit others isn't everything, so I will probably still do the artwork either way. However, making videos is a long and intense process, then you add making one a day, it just consumed my entire month. So, it is at the very least important to know if they will even be of interest.

Please let me know either way! Videos will still be going out either way, this vote will just effect what they will be. I just want to make videos that are interesting for all of you! <3

Hello Everyone! I've had a couple of requests to make a beginner watercolor video, so I thought it would be fun to take some questions! I already have a pretty good outline, but I would love to know what you want to learn or know more about. Ask me anything about watercolor, supplies, techniques, getting started, demonstrations, etc.! I really want to make this as helpful as possible!

Hello Everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve done an update on the Perfect Trio Masterclass, so I wanted to let everyone know what to expect going forward.

So to start, the upload schedule is going to be once a week going forward. Uploading two videos turned out to be a ton of work, and I’ve been really burned out between adding unplanned classes, filming, editing, making all of the class assets, and keeping up with Patreon. Also, I’ve really missed having time to myself to paint, play, experiment, and grow. I’ve been working on this series since January, and I’m looking forward to having more time to actually paint!

Next, the series may start to break apart a bit from having a new class every week. I will still be working on new painting tutorials, class assets (when needed), and creating new class videos for questions that come up.  However, there might be some breaks for other videos in between as I ease back into a more normal schedule. I do plan to keep adding to this class overtime, and I will make sure they always end up in the playlist.

I will be making new videos for this class, and going forward I’m going to focus on more hands-on painting tutorials using a trio. My favorite part of teaching is the practical, hands-on, real-world painting videos. I’m really a “learn by doing” person, and I feel like my teaching style leans and flourishes in creating demo paintings where I explain the mixes and techniques. That will be my goal for the next step in this Masterclass, making videos that go over the more practical, daily use side of using a trio for paintings.

That was really the beginner inspiration for this class, to get started with watercolor on a budget. I wanted to show that anyone can get started with just three colors, and it’s as easy and affordable as picking a trio in your budget, and learning a few basics. I really want to start showing all of the things you can do with a trio, and hopefully help anyone feel inspired to start even if they can only afford minimal supplies. If you need to access any of the assets for this tutorial, the specific post with everything is here: Patreon Perfect Trio Masterclass Resource List: www.patreon.com/posts/perfect-trio-37779569
Remember, these are completely free. You do not need an account to view or use them. If you do not have (or want to make an account), simply drag and drop the assets you want to your desktop. If you do have an account (even if you are not a Patron) you can download using the links at the bottom of the post. The only difference is the downloads are slightly higher quality, however both ways are completely usable and free without subscribing to my Patreon feed!

If you are enjoying these classes, and want to see the demo paintings explained more in-depth, including tips on drawing, color mixes, conveying lights and shadows, and more, those are over on Patreon for my tutorial tier Patrons. Also, I have other perks including posts, polls, exclusive videos and content, and more if you want to check it out here: www.patreon.com/amandawiley
When I reach my next Patreon goal I will take a poll on what my next review should be! :) I know a lot of you love review videos, and I thought that would be a fun way to celebrate!

I hope you are all doing well, and having a wonderful day!

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful week! I'm here to post an update to the Perfect Trio Masterclass assets as promised last week. I still have all of them on Patreon, but I have created a post that will allow non-account users to still access and use the files.

They are in a linear post for you to scroll through and view/select the ones you want to keep. If you don't have an account just use your curser to drag and drop the file onto your desktop chosen folder. If you do have an account, they are still linked in the attachments below for download. The only difference is that some of them have a slightly better resolution when downloaded, but for general use they will be perfectly fine!

The post can be found here: www.patreon.com/posts/37779569
I will not be making another designated post on Patreon for any future assets, all will be added to this post in the future, so bookmark it if needed.

I hope you know I appreciate all of you, and whatever kind of support you can give, even if it's liking, sharing, and commenting! They really do help more than you think! If at any point you would like to/are able to help my channel, or this masterclass financially I have Patreon and a Ko-fi account available.
Patreon www.patreon.com/amandawiley
Ko-fi: www.ko-fi.com/amandawiley
I also wanted to mention very quickly that all of the assets made for this series are meant for personal use only. I hope you find all of them to be helpful. However, I do ask that you use these for reference with my Masterclass, or for personal use in your own painting practice. Please remember if you share these in any way do not remove my name or copyright, and that you link back to the Patreon post or my YouTube channel. These are not be be sold or distributed in anyway for personal profit or gain.

Thank you so much!

Hello Everyone! I wanted to let everyone know that I'm not going to be posting any Perfect Trio Masterclass videos this week. I'm getting behind on the assets I need to finish for Patreon, and it's also come to my attention that you do need an account to view them (although you don't have to be a patron). This was an honest mistake on my part and I'm figuring out a solution this week. If you have tried to access anything and have been asked to create an account, just know you are not going to be charged unless you actually go through and sign-up to a specific tier, all downloads on public content are free.

I want to thank everyone who has been so kind, and left such lovely comments. I even appreciate all of you who have taken time to ask questions and leave constructive criticism, and I hope you know that I'm never offended by a well-meaning comment. This is my first time putting together something like this, and I'm still learning from this whole experience. All of your feedback, both good and bad, have gone towards changing this series while in the making, and will allow me to make future videos and masterclasses better.

This masterclass was put together with the intention of showing that professional paintings can be created with minimal supplies. My idea was to show how to pick colors that could work, how to get to know your colors (including basic color mixes), and how to use just three colors in very practical ways. I also had content prepared on troubleshooting a trio with common problems (I've been testing this idea for several months, so I've seen my fair share of weird problems), talking about the pros, cons of working with three colors, and my recommendations for expanding your palette when/if you choose to do so. I didn't have the expectation of it being an in-depth color mixing course and that is where the interest seems to be. I will be happy to make a masterclass on color mixing if there is enough interest. If that is something you want to see, please let me know. I have set it as a Patreon goal if you are interested in checking it out as well. If you are unable to be a Patreon supporter, I totally understand, and I appreciate you being here either way. If you are interested and able to be a supporter, just know that even a couple dollars a month goes a long way toward supporting this channel and the videos I can make.

I hope you all have a lovely week, and I will see you all next Tuesday!

Hello Everyone! Quick update on the Perfect Trio Masterclass. The last video on how to pick a perfect trio received a ton of questions and comments that made it very apparent that I had left some significant gaps in the information I was providing.

I would hate feeling like I didn’t do my job in explaining everything thoroughly, so I have decided to make a quick part 2 to that video. That being said, it will slightly alter our schedule going forward, but it will not create any gaps in our class schedule. All planned videos will be pushed forward one class spot to allow for the part 2 to go up on Wednesday. Following videos will be as scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays as promised.

I’ve put months of work and money into creating this course for free, with more months of work to come, so the kind, constructive criticism was appreciated. I also really appreciate everyone who took the time to leave a positive comment, as they really lifted my spirits!

I knew from the beginning that this series would morph over time, and I’m willing to put in the additional work when needed to make sure you are getting the information you need.

I sincerely apologize for the misunderstandings in the first video, but I hope the second will help.

As always, your likes, comments, and shares are appreciated. They are the best way to support this masterclass without spending anything. However, if you are someone who finds value in this masterclass, and are in a position where you like to financially support it, I have my Patreon page where you can help my channel, and get a few more perks along the way here: www.patreon.com/amandawiley I also have a Ko-Fi account for one time contributions here: www.ko-fi.com/amandawiley
Don't forget that I do have a ton of free information available on Patreon as well. I have free resources including color swatches, trio information, PDFs for creating your own color wheels and palette setups, as well as regular updates on the class as it progresses. This information is completely free, and you don't even need to have an account to access it.

Thank you, and I will see you all on Wednesday!
