The Western Oregon University Music Department is celebrating 150 Years of Musical Excellence in 2021-2022. Our internationally recognized faculty take the task of teaching seriously, helping to nurture all of students to achieve their goals. Located in Monmouth, Oregon, the WOU Music Department offers the Bachelor of Music in Music with concentrations in K-12 Music Education (four year program including licensure); Composition, and Jazz Studies, the Bachelor of Arts in Music, and minors in Music, Audio Production, and Jazz Studies. The Department of Music offers over $60,000 a year in music scholarships with opportunities for majors, minors, and those that just want to continue their music education as part of the collegiate experience.
