As promised on Twitch, I would stream Spyro to make up skipping a day from my Donothon last week. And that is still on my radar. However, since I have some extra days without work, I decided to do a little more to fill in the remaining milestones along with some new slots to add for you guys to suggest. Unfortunately, due to some recent controversy, it would be best that I replace Roblox out of the current milestone list for something else. In the meantime, I'll be doing more Peak where every donation results in me resetting. This would be extra hilarious once I reach around the new Mesa map or even come close to beating it. XD

Hey, everyone!
I first want to say thank you for everyoneās patience as Iāve waited for a long time to get my PC back up and running. Iām sure a lot of you know already at this point since I made my announcement on both Twitter and Blue Sky. I did also mention that I was going to make a stream, recapping what happened and why it took so long. But if I were to be honest, I realized it was a little too personal and most of you would care more about me being proactive. Anyone curious, Iāll make it brief; the motherboard was fried and needed a new one along with a better cooler so that it wouldnāt happen again. Parts took a longer time to get shipped to the repairman than it needed to, and getting a diagnosis check took a hot minute because of the holidays that have come and gone. And that guy has a family to be with. And I respect that. Thatās all I can explain from there without making any fluff and boring any of you. Point being, My PC is back!
That being said, Iām excited to get back into the swing of things. After a long period of being unproductive however, I unfortunately am gonna have to readjust myself as Iāve become rusty. During my time waiting, I started working on a few scripts and I already had some done in the past. However, while I have started, Iām always slow at writing scripts because I want to make sure that itās written cohesively and bears a natural pace in writing. I am still trying to find my niche and methods. I am admittedly picky like that. I know that being a perfectionist is not a good mindset, but I also want to make sure you have satisfying content and not just pushing content out there. Nonetheless I have MLP scripts to work with as well as some other projects that have been collecting dust for a while and Iām making it a primary focus for my channel.
Aside from that, The Best of GoldenFox Plays is on the awkward side. I already got started streaming some games, but I also have some unfinished business with Final Fantasy VI. I donāt normally like to detail my projects in the works entirely, especially since I save them for my patrons and channel members. But since a lot of you have been patient this year, Iāll spill the beans; Iām making it a two-parter. Volumes 59 and 60. I wasnāt planning on that, but I imagine there were a lot of moments to pick out. And since itās been another long period, it was appropriate. Not only that, but since I still have a lot of ways, these two should hopefully be finished by the end of this year. The entries following next year will be the ones Iāve been streaming this year. Iāll periodically work on them alongside Final Fantasy VI. So there should be plenty of content coming out in 2026. Primarily I need to get scripted projects worked on.

Hey, everyone! I hope you're all having a good Easter weekend!
I needed to give an update on what's been going on with me since I presume some of you don't know. This is especially considering there hasn't been an upload all year so far, and I hardly talked about it on my Social Media like Twitter and Blue Sky. Which is why I believe some of you may not have known what's been going on with me. And for those who don't, I'll make it brief; my PC crashed back in December and needed to be repaired. And it's been taking so much longer than any of us expected. There's a series of complicated matters, but I won't list them here because that's not the entire point of this post. It was to keep you guys in the loop. In hindsight, I really should've spilled this out months ago, but I made a poor assumption that it wouldn't take this long. As is the year is almost half over. That's a very long period. I'm not going to point fingers at anyone or anything. There's no use in getting mad over this. Shit happens. When my PC is back up and running, I'll be streaming directly on this channel to lay down clearer details about the issues with the PC. In addition, I'll be going over what's to come for this channel since I've been so far behind, I had to go through an overhaul of planning projects.
That being said, I'm still remaining hopeful as I can and motivating myself to work on a thing or two. I can't work on all the projects I currently have because they're on the other Computer. So I'm instead dealing with the previous computer I used. And holy crap it's slow as fucking hell! But I've been able to make some use of it. Mostly starting any fresh project that I had in mind. I won't detail what though because I'm still unsure if I'll get it out. Patience is the big obstacle with this one.
Something I wanted to add was that anyone at Babscon, I hope you're enjoying your time there as it is hosted for the last time. I was ORIGINALLY going to go, but my Job has blocked off that whole week I was going to take off to attend. So I had to miss out on it. I was suggested to save up for Everfree Northwest, and even I already considered that before this issue took place. But sadly because of bills weighing over my shoulders, I'm afraid it's an impossible task. I'll be lucky if I can get a flight ticket, let alone a badge and a hotel room. Going to cons cost money. Does that mean I'm skipping Everfree as well? No. I don't have a solid answer. Just that the chances of going are very slim because of much bigger priorities. This is why whenever I get my PC back, I'm going to set goals to get my bills taken care of on the count of any other milestones for you guys in return. Particularly with my Ko-Fi and getting music commissions done. I know I barely started on one, but I will be taking myself seriously on fixing that.
Other than that, I've been slowly working on some scripts for future video ideas and what have you. I say slowly because working on scripts is my weakest part of making content. Editing, and making videos are the ones I enjoy more of than cohesively writing a solid review. But still better than nothing. I'll go ahead and stop there since I spilled out the details you all needed to know. Fingers crossed the PC is back up in full recovery and everything turns around in my favor the rest of this year. Because right now, it feels like I've been stuck purgatory. I apologize for my cynical attitude.

Let me address that when it comes to my content being used elsewhere, I normally don't mind. There have been reactions to my content before, there were commentary videos addressing things I said, including some rants. Some of which I'm not a fan of, but the most I can do is acknowledge them and move on. I don't ever tend to file any Copyright strike to them because it's not only a dick move, it's obviously a violation of fair use. Something my channel alone highly depends on. In fact that's most of the platform here.
With that off my chest, I DO NOT appreciate it when someone uploads my own content in their entirety. Just recently, someone uploaded my old Sonic parody, Sonic the Unstoppable, on their channel not once, but three times. That is not okay in my book! It's not the first time my content was stolen and uploaded on different channels before. All I had to do was report to YouTube that it was stolen content. But not too long ago, I received a notice about my content being uploaded on someone else's channel. For the first time I had to actually file a takedown request. Not even a minute afterwards, the stolen video was taken down. I don't like having to file takedowns because I know how devastating those can be on the other end. I encountered those before and it's terrifying. So I kind of feel sorry for the uploader, but I did what I had to do.
Like I mentioned before, I'm fine if someone uses my content for transformative practices like commentary, reactions, even on streams. I remember someone did that with my Best of GoldenFox Plays, and were played in their entirety. But they were occasionally paused, and commentated on and there was a bunch of other stuff on the screen. So I was fine with that as I try to be loose with Copyright. But if you just upload my video itself with no commentary, no reactions, no form of any transformative practices, you are easily setting yourself up to get in trouble.
I know this is obvious to most of you, but some people will do that, and I don't hesitate to take action. Thank you for your understanding. Happy Holidays, and a good 2025!

Hey, everyone. I hope that this Halloween is fun for you all, and as always I do wish you all the best. Itās admittedly weird that Iām making another update post after last month, but I recently have been thinking over my projects in how I am going about it. Basically I have a confession to make. Some of you may have noticed that there was a cluster of videos that were released every December. A part of that is because in making content, Ad Revenue becomes the highest rate. And financially itās helpful for me, especially with bills. The other part is that a lot of the videos that were released previously were meant to be done earlier in that year and I stalled for too long. These are what I used to call them āDecember Bombsā as an influence coined off of the āSteven Universe Bombsā when it was a relevant show. In any case, I was already going to repeat the same process this year, but with more scripts. I mentioned that I have some MLP scripts, including the pilot with the help of Faolan Cortez. Bless her heart, she was very helpful. Outside of that though, I also have Returning to Pride Rock to finish up, and itās been sitting in the backseat for a while and Iām not even halfway. Thereās also a milestone type of video I have yet to get done. Thereās some vlog related content I wanted to get done, and I have my remaining entries of The Best of GFP. Thatās a lot and I just had to take a step back and ask myself āWhat am I doing with myself?ā
And nine times out of ten, theyāre done, but I just exhaust myself more than I realize. And Iām not getting any younger so that doesnāt help. What also didnāt help was how discouraged I was at the start of this year, hearing all the hate with Gen 5. I was intimidated to write a single script because of that. You all already know about it as I made a few posts at this point, and Iām glad that this behavior has been called out on. And I already started taking notes to make a review of Chapter 2 and prepare reviewing Winter Wish Day with Christmas around the corner. But I realizeā¦ Iām too late to even get started now. And if I rush or push myself to get a shit ton of content out during Christmasā¦ Iām going to repeat the same pattern. I have to stop myself and strategize myself better. You know that saying itās not the destination, itās the journey that matters the most? Thatās something I didnāt consider when making my content. In the past, I was always excited at what I made so far. But because I was too eager, I was more impatiently thinking about the end results than endorsing the present. And that of course bit me in the ass. Butā¦ I started to think strategically on how I can get things done step by step. From writing scripts to editing bits and pieces of content. And I want to embrace those moments so that I donāt overwork myself.
So what does this mean for this year? You can already guess that Iām considering postponing my content, but selectively Iām going to finish up ones that I think are more mandatory than others. And for whatās left, Iām taking my time to work on them efficiently so that I can actually be more active this coming year, and use it to my advantage in having a more consistent upload schedule. This is something I shouldāve come to a compromise of instead of making clusters of videos and then tiring myself out. Things have been very challenging ever since my channel was recovered a few years ago when it was hacked and taken down. Thatās a situation I wouldnāt wish even on my worst enemy.
All things considered, whatās in store for this year? The simple answer; I plan to get the remaining entries of The Best of GFP done, including this month with a Halloween special. Iām more than confident that Iāll be able to get that done. Itās just that editing vector after vector is so tiring and exhausting. I should confess that I thought about hiring an additional editor to help me out. And āŖ@TheBluishPonyā¬ has come to mind, given what he can muster up. One of his best examples was this following video from a few years ago when I streamed The Minish Cap. Very impressive shit!

But I donāt know how busy the dude is and I certainly want to make sure I can afford to pay him too. I donāt like the idea of having someone working with my own content. Thatās just bad business practices and I already feel back for Mimkage when she volunteered to draw me art for my thumbnails with no charge. That was fucked up of me to enable that back then. However, I am aware that some would want to pitch in, but I should also warn that I can get a bit strict over some things. And thatās mainly because of how I want my content made. Meanwhile Iām already trying to find editing gigs myself so that I can financially dig myself out. But with that out of the way, Iām also going to make my follow up video with regard to the Filli Vanilli incident because I need closure to that. Ten years of weight to get off my shoulders and itās been sitting there for too long.
One last thing thatās coming underway is something I did earlier this year. For the first time, Iām experimenting with Supercuts, which are editing compilations of older content. This is so that I can reintroduce my older content for any newcomers on my channel. At the same time, Iām going to address that some things have changed over time. Theyāll be hours of premiering over the weekends as I call them āWeekend Bingersā. Theyāre already done and will be playing over the holidays to make up for content. I hope it works well.
