But her destiny was far from peaceful. After her husband’s untimely death, Durgawati took the throne and ruled with wisdom and courage.
When the Mughal forces threatened her kingdom, she refused to surrender. Leading her army into battle, she fought relentlessly, wounding countless enemies. Even when gravely injured, Durgawati chose death over defeat, sacrificing herself for her people. Her bravery immortalized her as a symbol of honor and resistance—a queen who lived and died a warrior.
