A lot has gone on in the past 11 months since I posted my last video. From discovering that the helicopter I'd leased was not airworthy (oops?) to finishing up a long but dry cherry drying season to selling my helicopter charter business to taking a 6-month trip east of the Mississippi, I've been busy with lots of other things.
And I'll be honest with you: for a few years I worked my butt off to build this channel and was rewarded with snide and sometimes nasty comments and a general decline -- instead of increase -- in viewer support. It's hard to stay motivated to collect fresh video footage and then spend literally hours at a computer editing that video when there simply isn't much reward for all that expense and work.
I'm not, of course, referring to the few Patreon supporters and Channel members I'd accumulated in my most active seasons. You folks rock and, for a while, you really helped me face that video editor. But after a while even you couldn't keep me working when the channel seemed to fade away despite my efforts and there were a lot more interesting things to do with my time. My advice to all of you Patreons and Channel Members: cancel. I cannot guarantee anything on a go-forward basis and feel bad about you paying when I can't deliver.
If you really want to help this channel survive and motivate me to make new videos based on footage I already have and new footage I might get this cherry season, please use the Thumbs Up button and share comments about the videos you see. Also, please share the videos you like best with your friends on social media. All that is what helps get the channel in front of other YouTube viewers.
I still have videos in me, as well as the shorts I promised to answer your questions. I'm hoping to get to them all this summer. I apologize for my absence and hope you'll continue to stop by to see what's new.
And yes, as you can see in the photo, cherry season has begun.

Looks like the Sunday video will be delayed a day or two. I just couldn't manage to get the new video edited and uploaded on time. Stay tuned.
Update: I'll be releasing it on this coming Sunday. I just couldnt' get the time I needed in front of the computer this week. Channel members and patrons At the Access Premium Content level will likely see it a day or two early in 4K.

Ready for cherry season? I am! I've got a new skid-mounted camera setup that'll let you see the trees as I fly over. I tested the mount and camera yesterday on a quick fuel run that might show up as a video on Sunday (with enough motivation from channel viewers, subscribers, members, and patrons). But here's a screen grab right after takeoff.

I'm looking for a ride from Clarkston, WA to Wenatchee WA at the end of August. I don't care if it's in a car, truck, motorcycle, airplane, or helicopter. You can climb on board the helicopter with me in Wenatchee for the 90+ minute flight to Clarkston if you can get us a ride back the same day.
If you can make it happen, let me know. The dates are somewhat flexible, but I definitely cannot do it on Labor Day Weekend.
