Antarctica is… beyond my wildest expectations. Cannot wait to share this incredible experience with you. I’ve been filming daily shorts, so when signal allows I’ll post them and further highlight videos will follow. 💖

Day 1, 4 countries 🎉🚐⛴️
Started the day in Canterbury, with a nourishing breakfast of tea & a custard doughnut 😬 (
Found my way to the Port of Dover via some very tiny country lanes, but managed it unscathed and celebrated with more tea & a sausage sandwich.
This is the first of four ferry trips on this odyssey and thankfully, the English Channel was feeling benevolent & calm, despite the chilly wind. More tea and a macaroon to celebrate before arriving in country #2: France.
Well, sort of.
Spent precisely 20 minutes in France driving from Dunkirk before crossing into Belgium, which kindly provided me with fuel & a bottle of water before I crossed into country #3: the Netherlands.
Visiting the world famous (and UNESCO protected) Kinderdijk- where the windmills are over 300 years old!

IT'S OFFICIAL! The term 'wild camping' now includes motorhomes and campervans.
Frankly, I'm ecstatic about the change- it will free up so much time from answering comments on how 'you can't wild camp with a bed and a fridge' but it seems not everyone is so happy with the news.
Mrs K. Aren, (location withheld), complains "It's ridiculous. How are people possibly supposed to tell the difference between a tent and a motorhome? I've started a petition so we can get this corrected asap."
The petition currently stands at 17 signatures. If you'd like to sign, you can find it on the gov.uk website.

Some photos from the first couple of days of our Ireland road trip.
Spent a lovely night at Hook lighthouse, then explored some of the Hook peninsula, including finding the Templar church and some incredible beaches, which Mac enjoyed even if it was raining.
Currently waiting out a storm with 50+ mile winds before I continue the adventure, but Mac & I are warm and snug in the motorhome- although I think a certain someone might be looking for another walk 🙄🙄
