Some of the ways you will know that you are deeply rooted in patriarchy and its ideals are:

1. You compete a lot.
2. You compare yourself with others.
3. You find the sense of who you are in what you call achievements like your educational qualifications, money you have, people that you consider highly placed, your job position, and others along that line.
4. You subscribe to class systems.Ā
5. You look down on security people and bow before CEOs or managers.
6. You look down on people based on what they have or do not have, how beautiful they're or not, among others.
7. You rever those you consider to be in positions of power.
8. You subscribe to superiority and inferiority.Ā
9. You think men are above women.
10. As a woman, you place your male children above their female counterparts.
11. As a woman, you think you are nothing without a man.
12. As a man, you look down on women as much as you don't stay away from them.
13. You are religious.Ā
14. You are capitalistic.Ā
15. You abhor the art.
16. Everything for you is about monetary gain.Ā
17. You don't consider the sacredness of our humanity important.Ā
18. You love wars and other ways people are subjugated and controlled.Ā
19. You like to control others.
20. You like to be the only one at the helm of affairs, calling the shots for everyone else.Ā
21. Finding your identity in anything else other than who you are. Etc.

Sometimes, we don't know that we are the ones upholding the very thing that is suppressing and killing us. This is why knowing some of these things is very important.Ā

Patriarchy is more concerned with what can be seen. It is more concerned with the material plane. So, any form of depth is either avoided or demonised.

All the knowledge that leads to depth, like astrology and numerology, was demonised.

This is why people don't have depth to them. It is not really that they don't have depth to them; it is because they stay on the surface of life. This is a sole attribute of patriarchy, surface level.Ā

To cultivate depth requires self-reflection and contemplation. This leads to self-awareness.Ā

But there are enough things out there to keep people on the surface. These things fuel their escapism.Ā

We are created to have depth to us. By cultivating depth, you get to know yourself and connect with your authentic self. But patriarchy doesn't like this. It will keep people from having independent thinking because then they won't conform and can't be controlled.Ā

Self-reliance and God-reliance are the same.

This may seem jarring to someone whose outlook is that they are different from God, not knowing that the creator and the created are one. There is only one life form in existence. We are it, and it is us. Everything is it. You cannot not be it because it is all there is.

Let this boost your confidence or Godfidence. You are not one lowly being groping in darkness. You are that one life form having a human experience. It is just an experience of who we are not for the fun of knowing who we are again. This is the game we are playing here. You could say God is playing here.

All these things we are pursuing and killing ourselves for are nonsense. They are simply avenues for these human experiences and not what to derive sense of who we are from.Ā

However, this game gets serious sometimes because of the way the world systems work. However, it seems serious, so you will really play it and have it pass through you and you through it.

So you are Gods. If you like add a small g to your own, it is up to you. ššĀ

However, that statement is literal. So, self-reliance is the same as God-reliance. I almost forgot what I was saying initially while trying to explain our oneness with God and everything. š

If you learn self-reliance, then that is it. However, it is not a state of not needing help. It is a state of realising your Godship and living from it. It is the place of masters and elders by life's election.Ā

No matter how hungry the lion becomes, it can never eat grass. That's a popular saying. The meaning of that statement dawned on me more deeply than it ever had.

Firstly, lions and their families, like leopards and even cats, represent self-confidence. This is why life would send you a Leo āļø born or person with Leo placements when you need some doses of self-confidence, esteem, and worth.

The statement above is about sticking with your authentic self, no matter the terrain. It means not watering yourself down because the terrain doesn't look good.

What makes the lion feared in the animal kingdom is that it advances with confidence, not necessarily that it is the strongest. It doesn't cower.

That level of insistence is sometimes needed to stick it out with your authentic self and what you know you should be doing until the terrain changes for you.Ā

So stick it out, no matter the outside pressure. Don't forget who you are. Even lions in the midst of sheep can start behaving like sheep in as much bravery is within their genes. Self-confidence is the new beauty. It is the belief you have in yourself and your abilities. Yes, it is God's force in you to be yourself fiercely and to get things done.
How many physically beautiful people lack confidence, and so they keep casting their pearls to the swine?
The patriarchal system doesn't like self-confidence because then you will be self-authoring. It abhors self-authoring.
Rebel, rebel against it, and embrace self-confidence. It is free and discoverable within you.
How will you know that you lack confidence?
1. You are like the human equivalent of a doormat.
2. You are nice instead of kind. Nice people say yes when they ought to say no, and vice versa. At worst, they ghost you instead of saying no. Religion breeds nice people, not truly kind people.
3. You feel inadequate and not enough.
4. You allow fear to stop you from doing what you know you should be doing.
5. You shrink yourself all the time as humility.
6. You self-sabotage yourself and abandon yourself all the time.
7. You always fear you will be rejected. It is because you have rejected yourself already.
8. You are not always on your own side of the equation. You are pleasing everyone else but yourself.
9. You are a people-pleaser.
10. Others.
Hey, don't be hard on yourself, as being hard on yourself is part of the issue. It is a journey. It is possible to be confident in certain areas and less confident in others. So, consciously build on it, taking your power back and being more of your authentic self. It's a journey I'm on as well.

One thing with patriarchy is that you can live outside of it. That's what it means being in this world and not of it.
You can leave patriarchy and its toxic masculinity behind. Why? Because it is not serving you unless it is.
How you live outside of it is by living your authentic life. Where patriarchy says, you must be guided by an outside authority, balk, and become self-authoring. Remember who you are and reconnect with your authentic self.
That's how you leave patriarchy and its systems behind.
