Howdy folks. I just learned today that former Scientologist Mike Rinder has passed away after a battle with cancer. Mike Rinder grew up in Scientology and at one time was a high ranking member working directly under church leader David Miscavige. He would eventually leave the church and would go on to expose abuses within' the organization. He appeared in the A&E documentary "Going Clear," appeared alongside Leah Remini on the docu series "Scientology & The Aftermath," and was involved in other forms of activism which included his being on the board of directors of The Aftermath Foundation.
I feel very fortunate to have been able to meet Mike Rinder on more than one occasion. He was a very nice man who had done so much to educate the public about the dangers of getting involved in Scientology. So now I am going to drink a margarita in his honor. Alrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight! Rest in peace Mike Rinder. You are a legend and will be missed.
