The Birth of "Tom Think Twice"
On December 14, 2024, I decided to embark on a new creative journey by starting a YouTube channel called "Tom Think Twice." The channel's goal was simple: to showcase my video editing skills using DaVinci Resolve. It wasn’t about fame or fortune; I knew that success on YouTube wasn’t an easy road. I didn’t expect to gain thousands of views or subscribers overnight. To me, this was about challenging myself and putting my creativity out there for the world to see.
With a plan in mind, I committed to creating 30 videos in 30 days. My promise to myself was clear: if the channel didn’t pick up after those 30 days, I would walk away knowing I had tried.
The Grind
The first few days were exhilarating but challenging. Late nights editing, refining, and uploading became my routine. I poured my heart into every video, from tutorials to creative edits, always making sure they reflected my best work. But as the days passed, the reality set in: the views trickled in slowly—sometimes only 20 views, sometimes less.
Despite this, I kept going, uploading video after video. It wasn’t about instant success. It was about discipline, creativity, and finishing what I started. I hit the 30-day mark, and while the numbers weren’t impressive, I was proud of the effort I had put in.
A Miracle Happens
Then, the unexpected happened. On January 21, 2025, one of my videos went viral. I still remember refreshing the analytics page and watching the numbers soar. In what felt like the blink of an eye, the video reached 2,312,930 views. The engagement was overwhelming—comments poured in, people subscribed, and my little corner of YouTube was buzzing with activity.
From having just a handful of subscribers, I suddenly had 5,638 people following my channel. Even more astonishing, the views on my older videos, which had been sitting at 20 or 30 views, started to climb into the thousands. One video lifted all my content, bringing life to the work I thought had been unnoticed.
The Blessing
I couldn’t help but feel this was more than just luck. It was God’s will, a blessing that came at the perfect time when I was ready to close this chapter. That single viral moment reminded me why persistence and faith matter.
Looking Ahead
Now, "Tom Think Twice" isn’t just a channel; it’s a story of perseverance and hope. I no longer see YouTube as just a platform but as a place where hard work can eventually be rewarded, even if it feels impossible at times.
To anyone starting a journey, my message is this: don’t fear failure. Sometimes, when you least expect it, something amazing can happen.
