Youtube 前几日公布将推出 1-3分钟的短视频。这对我来说是好事,因为有些古文的解释,真的很难赛在1分钟的短片钟说明解释。可惜,我本来的计划就有些打乱。现在试着重新整理和弄一些已经有雏形的短视频。请期待!

Some visitors to the site asked for the footnotes to the Giles's videos. So, I decided to break them up by chapter and interwove the footnotes. Thanks for the support. The first Chapter will be uploaded today and the rest over the next week or so.

>1500 videos. Uploaded another major translation by Lionel Giles of the Analects of Confucius. Will try to do add some commentaries to individual sections when I am free. This version is quite suitable for becoming acquainted with Confucius because Lionel Giles (also arguably the most famous translator of Sun Tzu's Art of War) restructured the Analects of Confucius into eight different themes.

鬼谷子七十二计 今天圆满播完。谢谢大家的支持。
明天将会有新的一系列短视频,跟原本的菜根谭一起播放。希望您喜欢。
至于鬼谷子原文的白话解读,若大家有兴趣,可以告诉我,我也很想弄出来。毕竟自己以前生命历练不足,有很多段话似懂非懂,也想借此机会重新温故知新!

James Legge is one of the early missionaries to have traveled into China back in the 19th Century. He was a Scottish linguist, missionary, sinologist, and translator who was best known as an early translator of Classical Chinese texts into English. Legge served as a representative of the London Missionary Society in Malacca and Hong Kong and was the first Professor of Chinese at Oxford University.
His contributions to introducing China and its culture cannot be simply explained.
He singlehandedly translated many ancient Chinese texts that were previously unavailable to the West. One of the most important translations was Confucian texts.
The Channel Master is proud to present James Legge's work, using an AI avatar to read out his translations of the Analects of Confucius (all twenty books). It took the Channel Master over a month and hopes it will honour James Legge and his efforts.
The entire video is over three hours long and is still being processed by Youtube's. It would be published in one and a half hours.

Picture shows all the books that have been used in the making of the videos. Some are new and more will come soon. Will need some time to digest them and make more and better videos. Age is catching up and doing my best!
