So sorry everyone. I haven't been able to do any new art videos for you all, in such a long time.

I’ve done everything right.
The diet. The water. The vitamins. The rest.
The tests say I’m doing well, better than most my age.
And yet... the pain still returns.

This isn’t giving up.
This is honesty.

Chronic pain doesn’t always make sense.
Even when you're strong. Even when you're disciplined.

If you’re fighting something like this, I see you. I believe you.
You’re not lazy. You’re not failing.
You’re enduring what others don’t understand.

And still, you show up.

Through art.
Through music.
Through faith.
Through the smallest moments of light.

This is for you. And for the strength we rarely speak of.

Keep showing up. You're not alone."

We’re grateful to be part of another exhibition, though this time we’ll be showcasing just a few selected pieces. It’s a group exhibition alongside some truly talented artists, and we feel honoured to share space with such inspiring creative minds. Every opportunity to exhibit is a gift, and we’re thankful for the chance to contribute our work among fellow professionals.

Hello everyone,

I’d like to ask, should I continue creating more pictures like this?

From time to time, I explore topics that are different from my usual work. Why? Because I want to build a collection of artworks that carry meaningful messages, a way of speaking out through my art. Our precious world is being tarnished daily by the ongoing impact of human actions, and I feel the need to reflect that in my work.

Although these pieces might look simple, they take time to create. Each one holds a deeper message within it.

If I decide to continue, I’ll definitely be painting them on canvas and plan to showcase them in another exhibition.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts.

By Darren Burch: Title: "The Honest Disguise"

This piece confronts the illusion of hope through manipulation and destruction, yet leaves us with one haunting truth, nature will reclaim what we refused to protect.

Description:
At the heart of this allegorical painting stands a wolf in formal attire, half human, half beast, clutching an apple tree in a deceitful nod to the story of Adam and Eve. On one side, flocks of sheep blindly follow him off a cliff, symbolizing those who trust without question. On the other, the wolf’s true nature is revealed: a reflection of our world’s darkest truths, war, greed, pollution, and ecological destruction, all for the pursuit of power and profit. Above it all, Earth hovers in space, fragile under the shadow of an approaching meteor. A final message reads: "Mother Nature always wins in the end".

Hi everyone,

I hope this finds you well. First, thank you for taking a moment to read this, I know we live in a time when everyone’s moving fast and attention is often pulled in many directions.

This year has been a big one for us. We’ve had our very first two exhibitions, a milestone we’re proud of, especially after so many years of near misses and lessons learned. Like anything new, it came with its challenges. We discovered that putting art out into the world is not just about the work itself, but about being seen and known. And being newcomers, not many knew about us.

It’s one thing to pour your heart into a painting for months, but quite another to figure out the business side, pricing, promotion, gallery expectations (like discounts we didn’t expect), and all the things that make up the art world behind the scenes. Sometimes it felt like we were running uphill, but through it all, recognition, not just sales, has become the key goal. Being seen and understood helps us keep going.

As a New Zealand artist living in Türkiye, where the language and culture are different, I’ve found comfort in holding on to my roots. It’s what shapes my art, the stories, the style, the spirit behind each piece. And that persistence in staying true to what I do has helped carve out a little space of my own.

Recently, we’ve set up a page on Ko-fi, a secure UK platform that supports independent creators. It’s a place where we’ll be gradually adding all our artworks, available both as affordable digital master copies (which include a letter of authenticity) and eventually, original paintings. The digital artworks are easy to download and print in any size for personal use. It’s a learning curve for us, but one we’re excited to take on.

If you’d like to support or simply follow along, we’d love to have you join us on Ko-fi. Every follow, every kind word, and every bit of support, on YouTube, Instagram, or Ko-fi, means more than you know.

Thank you so much for being part of our journey.

With appreciation,
Koru Kiwi Arts

Title: The Feast Under Pōhutukawa Skies

Introduction:
This painting is a heartfelt celebration of warmth, kindness, and shared moments. Every brushstroke was thoughtfully placed to create harmony in space, color, and composition, ensuring a scene that feels both inviting and timeless.

Description:
Step into a whimsical New Zealand landscape where nature and imagination intertwine. Measuring 400 x 400 mm, this acrylic painting captures the tranquil beauty of Aotearoa, framed by pōhutukawa trees, rolling hills, and an ocean kissed by soft pink and blue skies. Beneath this serene canopy, vibrant green grass comes alive with native ferns and koru plants, setting the stage for a magical gathering.

At the heart of the painting lies a joyful feast. A large table, encircled by a cozy sofa bench, hosts a charming group of sheep enjoying an array of organic, farm-fresh delights. A dedicated figure pours tea into a delicate blue cup, symbolizing the joy of hospitality and shared meals. A small bookshelf nestled within the seating adds a personal touch, evoking a sense of warmth and comfort.

This piece is a celebration of togetherness, the beauty of New Zealand’s landscapes, and the simple pleasures that make life truly special.

Artist Note:
The Feast Under Pōhutukawa Skies was completed in January 2025, bringing to life the serenity of New Zealand infused with a sense of warmth, gratitude, and joy.

The Waitakere Ranges in West Auckland are known for their natural beauty and the native birds that venture into suburban areas. I’ve always loved the relaxed vibe of West Auckland, and it’s where I often spot the adventurous Tui. Its unique call and the contrasting dark blue and green feathers, along with its signature white throat tuft, make it an intriguing subject. This painting captures a memory of my time living there, where the Tui’s presence added to the area’s charm.

New Zealand was an island with no mammals. It wasn't until the beginning of the 17th and on 18th century that the sheep where introduced. Unfortunately there was a price to be paid and most of Aotearoa native forests were cleared to create postures for livestock. But not all was lost as the rest is under protection now. Back in the early 80s we had a record amount of sheep, counting at 70 million. Wool was one of our biggest commodities during that time. Todays approximate count. They've declined to 26 million. This painting represents my childhood memories as I use to live on a sharing sheep farm. Also I'm part Maori and Pakeha. Both sides rich in true Aotearoa culture. On my Maori side, I was able to trace back my family tree, to the 13th century. Which was based in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand. The red Maori wharenui or (Meeting house) that's in my painting. Was painted from a photo I took while traveling through Taumaranui. I held onto this photo for years, as I knew that one day I would eventually paint it.

Marae (meeting grounds) are the focal point of Māori communities throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand. A marae is a fenced-in complex of carved buildings and grounds that belongs to a particular iwi (tribe), hapū (sub-tribe) or whānau (family). A meeting house in Maori is called a wharenui.
