As a self-taught programmer with several years work experience, would you go back and get a cs degree later in your career? Why or why not?

I plan to start posting more regularly. With my heavy schedule, I probably won't be able to put as much effort into video editing even though I enjoy editing them. Next up will probably be a video on my plan for getting a computer science degree.

So I showed up at my son's end of season formal dinner (suit and tie event) in shorts and a polo. A friend asks: "Why didn't you dress up?". I respond, "I'm a programmer wearing shoe laces and a collared shirt, I did dress up 😂".
...when you kid forgets to forward all the details.

FYI. I just changed my channel name to be my actual name. I thought devsmak was kinda cool. Combining the idea of development and talking smack or just chatting about development. Turns out it was kind of confusing for folks. Some have been addressing me as dev, devs, devon, mak, mack, mark and a whole lot of variations. So let's just keep this simple. My name is James Cross, If you couldn't tell from the signs in the backgrounds of my videos (not Jim because I am a junior and the old man goes by Jim). Have a great day! R.I.P. devsmak... Fun fact, I actually trademarked "devsmak" to see if I could write my own trademark application and get away with it. It was easier than I thought.

UI Lead / Senior Software Engineer. I'm super excited to share strategies and things that helped me succeed as an underwater construction worker turned self-taught programmer. Also, some thoughts on the tech industry.
