It’s been a while since my last post! Life has been busy, and I hope you all are doing well and enjoy the summer season.
I’m excited to share that I’ve started a new YouTube channel called Kimigami Crafty Bit on the Side! This channel will showcase a variety of crafts beyond origami, highlighting another side of my creativity and the things I love to do.
My first video is a tutorial on making an A6 handbound notebook—a popular item from my Etsy shop for many years. It’s a simple and fun project where you can add your own design or pretty paper to personalize it.

Today 20th Feb, marks the birthday of my YouTube channel! 🎂 It all began with a video of my dog Jackie and her brother Rocky having a blast playing together (in 2010). At first, I didn't share much, keeping most of my videos private. Fast forward 10 years later, amidst the pandemic in 2020, I decided to share my first video inspired by the BTS logo on 27th June. And from there, the journey began! Can you believe it's almost been 4 years since I started spreading my passion for origami and paper crafts on YouTube? It's been an incredible journey so far. I'm excited to share a special commission project I'm currently working on: handmade wedding favours using origami hearts. These charming favours are not only a delightful keepsake but also a heartfelt gesture for your guests. Though perfect for smaller gatherings due to the time it takes (approximately 10 minutes per favour), they add a personal touch that's truly memorable. Having used these at my own wedding years ago, I can attest to the joy they bring to guests. Plus, I've simplified the process by creating a downloadable template where you can easily insert your own love poem or message onto an A4 size paper. (The template will fit on a Letter size paper too if you are in the US. Remember to set 'Bordeless printing' for both A4 and Letter size when you print.)
