β€ͺ@tanmayacharyya3963‬ This is an ACI multi-pod. We built this in class this week to include the Nexus 7K that is acting as our IPN Network resource.

The live lab/lecture in sd-geeks.com went off without a hitch. The HTML5 Lab portal was very responsive and stable. We did exactly what I had planned. All students discovered their assigned Cat9K. They reserved IP Pools for CAMPUS and GUEST (we will add IOT later) and assigned, and provisioned devices in their assigned Branch 1 building. We then created individual distributed fabric sites, and assigned SDA Overlay roles of 1) Unknown Border, 2) Control Plane Node and 3) Edge on the Cat9k in branch 1. This constituted a Fabric-in-a-Box (FIAB) deployment. We use archive monitoring to observe the commands the DNAC pushed to the individual devices. Especially paying attention to the L3handoff assignments and BGP peering operations deployed by the DNA-Center.

We explored:
1) LISP Configuration for the Overlay Control Plane
2) MPBGP configuration deployed toward our vEDGE Devices that will our "fusion nodes"
3) IP assignment made by the DNA-Center to the SVI interfaces by parsing out /30 networks from out L3handoff pool

All in all I was ecstatic when I was finally able to get to bed.

This Friday we build Branch 2 and deploy a cp-border nodes and an individual edge node!

Tonight is a big night! In SD-Geeks we will be building out individual Fabric Sites and doing all the necessary tasks to accomplish that like Network Hierarchy Design and Device Discovery. We will create a Fabric Site for each student and I think I want to implement a Fabric In a Box (FIAB) in each site using CAT9324's. Friday we will add a second fabric site for each student that contains 2 Catalyst 3K's. The ultimate goal will be to implement a full SDWAN as Transit Scenario.

Regarding a video on the SD-Geeks classroom and community, this week between my day class (ACI) and my evening sd-geeks.com streams my plate is over full.

I think I may make that recording this weekend instead of doing a youtube live.

Starting day 2 of my ACI Online Class for Micronics this morning and last night in sd-geeks.com we finished our python script that interacted with the DNA-Centger API to identify discovered devices, send show commands to those devices, and to format the response into a human readable structure. It was fun. This Wednesday we will be moving to SDA and DNAC. Students will build a Network Hierarchy, discover devices, assign and provision those devices. Once that is done we will take Fridays Live session to build a fabric and construct a L3 handoff to our vEdges in our SDWAN as Transit environment. Next week we will move to SDWAN and Policies.

AGAIN THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT'S MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!!!!

Well this evening (Sept 26th) in SD-Geeks we will be wrapping up our live training exercises where we use python to communicate with the DNA-Center API. Starting Wednesday we will be building SDA fabric and discovering devices. Things are going very well inside the community, and want to thank everyone that has signed up. I am so very grateful to all of you that have become members.

After a decade of thinking about it I am starting my own training community site. Here we will explore Software Defined Technologies from many vendors. My focus will be on specialist level certifications and preparation for expert levels of knowledge.

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to say thanks for staying around. Most of you may not know this but my Mom passed away a couple of months ago, after having medical issues for a year or more. I took the time to reflect and decide on some life decision stuff as most of us do when we hit moments dealing with mortality and ideas of where we should be in our lives. After taking the time to reflect and consider I think I am back on my path. I'm looking forward to making more videos and getting back into my love of teaching and technology.

Thanks for your patience.
Terry

I created a VXLAN Flood and Learn playlist for those that have been requesting it. I put it with the other videos in that series.
