The worldâs oldest dog- Bobi, has died at 31 years and 165 days.
Guinness World Record holder Bobi, a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo, passed away at his home in Portugal on Saturday.
Senior veterinarian Karen Becker confirmed the death of the dog and wrote on Facebook: â Last night, this sweet boy earned his wings .â
âDespite outliving every dog in history, his 11,478 days on earth would never be enough, for those who loved him,â she wrote.
Bobi became the worldâs oldest dog in February by beating an almost century-old record.
The previous oldest dog ever was Australiaâs Bluey, who died in 1939 at the age of 29 years and five months.
The identity of Bobiâs successor is still not known.
