Happy new year, everyone!

I hope y'alls 2025 is off to an exciting start. Or at least whenever you're ready to start, I hope you can do so in a way that is both fun and fulfilling. Or at least fun. Or at least you can start from the beginning. The point I'm trying to make here is you should always do your best, and I will do. Okay?

If you found your way here because of the Sea of Stars soundtrack, welcome!! I've had this youtube account for many many years, but I've never put it to any real use. Nor have I put any legitimate effort into creating videos, I feel like I would only upload one video every other year or so out of necessity or memes, and never gave it much thought at all. I didn't even start honestly paying attention to youtube as a platform until a few years ago. All this to say, I'm here now, and one of my resolutions this year, other than to make the best of things, is to put myself to work on videos a tad bit more than I have in the past.

I have no aspirations to become what they call a "content creator," so regular uploads are off the table, at least for now. Between my work with Sabotage and my role in my band, the free time I get is usually spent on leisure, practice, heath, eating, or refilling the well. Maybe I'm quirky for this but I sometimes find it fun to play video games that other people have made :)

I have another channel that used to belong exclusively to Rainbowdragoneyes, youtube.com/@magichammermusic. I rebranded it to Magic Hammer Music not because RDE is deceased, but because after all that time we spent together, I wanted to expand my horizons and work on new projects outside of the Chiptune realm RDE is known for. He'll still be called upon for all things Chiptune, including some tutorials we're cooking up, but I needed a place to express new and different ideas while keeping them under the same umbrella.

That said... I'm just Eric, I'm a composer and a sound designer, but I started my career as a drummer. So if you're subscribed to me you can certainly expect more Sabotage game soundtracks in future, but I'm giving you fair warning now that you can also expect the occasional drum video or drum-related antics from me in your feed. I have a lot of video ideas I've been kicking around lately so I'm confident (sic) I'll figure out a way to organize them all between the EWB and MHM channels as they start coming together, at a pace that suits me.

Anyway I just wanted to say hey and write all this for whoever might be listening, and I thank you for listening. The start of a new year is a great opportunity to try new things... It's really just another day in the life, but if you wanted it to, it could be something exciting and fresh and special, so that's what I'm gonna go for and I'm gonna try to have fun doing it.

Thank you so much for listening, and for reading all this. Getting back to work on the DLC starting next week, and I hope I can continue to create noise worth listening to!
