There is an internal struggle.
Art can be a selfish and lonely act.
I do not want that.
I aim to make art as an act of giving and receiving whatever comes.
To paint as an offering and thanksgiving to all that God has given, instead of a means to an end.
To connect with others.
To sacrifice in order to create images full of beauty, peace, and light.
Visual reminders to come back to what is and ground ourselves in that truth even when it all feels like too much.
I'm so honored when others love and collect my work. I always sense that these paintings are not really for me. They're for whoever needs them, just as I needed to create them. It is an act of love, letting go, and connecting all at the same time.
It is all so beautiful.
Thank you for being a part of that with me. ๐๐ป๐

I'm a fine art landscape painter based in New Jersey, USA. I'm mostly a self-taught artist, fumbling and growing creatively over the past 20-plus years while raising my three wonderful children.
Heavily influenced by tonalist and impressionist landscape painters both past and present, I aim to bring the transitional moments of the day into view through my artwork. The overall mood that these moments bring, shaped by the amount of light and atmosphere within each scene drives me to complete each piece.
My paintings are not of specific places, yet seem familiar in many ways. The main objective of each painting is for it to stand alone; to bring the viewer on a visual journey closer to a stillness within themselves. In this stillness emerges a reminder of what truly is and what always will be; a visual balm to an otherwise chaotic world, or for some, a respite for a chaotic inner landscape.
