The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (the Commission) was established by the Securities Industry Act 1995 to regulate the securities market in Trinidad and Tobago. Our revised legislation, the Securities Act 2012 was proclaimed on December 31, 2012 and is intended to protect the investor, promote integrity and transparency and foster the development of the market.
Through its services to the public, the Commission provides protection to investors from unfair, improper and fraudulent practices and fosters fair and efficient capital markets.
