Hi Everyone! My friends are making a movie and they need your help!! 🚨

‪@EthanTAllison‬ wrote the ‘Busker Bill’ screenplay and his Team is searching for people to help fund this project so they can keep moving forward to production. Donations as little as $5 will go a long way for them to make this film a reality!

Please head over to Seed & Spark and make a pledge to support this project in any capacity that you are able: seedandspark.com/fund/busker-bill

The world is in need of up and coming directors, and with the people that Ethan has pulled together to make this thing happen, I know it will be nothing short of incredible.

If you want to hear more of their story and mission, head over to my second channel and listen to our podcast. https://youtu.be/TsF_jhxHpxk

Cheers! 🍻

I know it's been awhile since I posted here, but trust me, I am working on wrapping up the 'Colombia Series' now. I've also been working on a massive project over on my second channel. I created a Documentary! Please go check it out! https://youtu.be/KlMB6G2tIPA

My thoughts after finishing this project:

There is something cathartic about having an idea and then bringing it to light. 🌟💡

Back in June (and in Ecuador), I had the idea to give my friend, Alex, a unique wedding gift. One that I knew no one else would be able to offer. I wanted to make a documentary on his life.

At initial thought and quick notes in my journal, it seemed pretty feasible. I wasn't working a 'traditional' job and I had endless video and photos with Alex from over the years. So, I reached out to friends and family to start sending me their photos and video as well. I started compiling and organizing everything.

I started writing the script... Then, we found out Morgan was pregnant. "Uhm... This is going change everything." We finished our travels in Ecuador and Brazil, moved back home (and 3 different locations), figured out hospital and pre-natal plans, cleaned up and prepared the rental properties, I started job searching, and then started working full time.

All while, this project remained in my head with a half written script and thousands of photos and video. I needed to finish what I started.

I reached out to more friends and family to schedule and complete their interviews to answer questions, I finished the script and story structure, and began editing. But I failed.

I had planned to have this finished before the wedding but I wasn't even close. I went back to the drawing board, I had to completely change how I was going to finish the narrative because now I decided to write my Best Man's Speech to be the final conclusion to the documentary's story of Alex and Halle.

So, we enjoyed our time in Arizona and I came back home and hit it hard. I needed to finish what I started. My schedule: Wake up at 6, go on a run or complete a quick exercise, edit for 2-3 hours, go to work, come home, edit until 1 AM. (Yes, super healthy, I know). Oh yeah, and in that time, I planned and completed a full podcast with Alex without him knowing my intentions to cut it apart and include in the Documentary. Yes, this was a surprise. And then... FINISHED.

Morgan and I watched the final draft, and it was better than I could have imagined. I was so incredibly happy with the outcome. 5 months in the making, and I now could rest because the idea was out of my head. I could give it to Alex and Halle (for a late wedding gift) and let the project live a life of it's own now.

Ideas are just the start. They might not end up being the same thing as that initial spark. Sometimes they work, others don't but what's important is that you work your way towards letting the ideas live on outside of your head. I couldn't have done it without all the help from everyone. Cheers.
