WAG-C3 10001, India's first electric locomotive which was manufactured by converting diesel locos WDG-3A 14593 and 14786 with the parts of electric locos WAM-4 21382 and 21386. Later, it was classified as WAG-10. After manufacturing 10002, its production was stopped as it was a failed experiment. Presently, 10001 and 10002 are homed by DLS Bondamunda (BNDX) and ELS Bondamunda (BNDL) respectively.

In the frame : On a dull December afternoon, 10001 is lying dead at Goods Yard, Mecheda (Kolaghat Thermal Power Station siding).
