Important Announcment Regarding Leh - Delhi Pad Yatra:
Regarding this proposal for Pad Yatra from Leh to Delhi, there was an important meeting of the Apex body in Leh today. However due to the most unfrtunate accident today resulting in many deaths, the Press Conference was postponed.
Although there will be a final meeting on Saturday the 24th, I was asked to share the following:
1. The Pad Yatra will be carried out only if there are at least 100 participants. At the moment roughly 50 have expressed interest.
2. In order to give people time to register and prepare, the yatra should start on 1st of September from from Serchu, at the Ladakh HImachal Pradesh border and not from Leh city .
3. Therefore in view of the time constraints till Gandhi Jayanti, the Yatra will be for 30 days and not 40.
