If you are doing the new Time Trial at Streets of Willow, be aware of a cheat you can use to improve your time. When you start a new lap, you can drive between to cones to the large run off area, build up speed and cut back through the cones. You'll go way faster than coming off a hot lap. @tidgney covered it in his video. In the comments of that video, he says he heard from PD that they are going to leave it legal for this TT and revisit in the future.

My GT7 vs iRacing video has gotten more attention lately, including comments that claim iRacing is the only realistic sim racing platform. I think iRacing is overall more realistic than GT7. I'd say iRacing is a 9 and GT7 is a 6. The thing is, it's not on a scale of 1-10, it's a scale of 1-100. There is no sim racing experience that actually comes very close to reality. First of all, there is nothing that does sustained g-forces regardless of how much money you put into it. But the bigger factor in all of sim racing is that there is no real risk to injury or death or serious damage or serious financial loss. If you wreck in sim racing, you can immediately reset and the most you'll lose is driver rating, iR, or reputation. Arguing about which platform is most realistic is pretty silly to me when none of them are actually realistic. Thoughts?

I'm working on the full video now, but you can review these images for a preview on how tire temps affect tire wear in Gran Turismo 7 update 1.55. I ran 10 lap custom races at Northern Isle Raceway with tire wear set to 4x. I ran RS for 5 races, and RM for 6 races targeting the tire temps at the numbers shown. I then ran racing hard for three races targeting the tire temps shown. The results surprised me. I'll go into further analysis in the full video. I also learned that trying to maintain a specific tire temperature is extremely difficult.
