Hello tyers all!
The inspiration for tomorrow’s tying, comes from a subscriber. Having had some success with a coloured variant, he is now tying the fly in various colours!!
My offering tomorrow is indeed, a coloured variant of this well known fly.
Maybe not for my fly box, because the weight is not covered, but definitely one for you!😉

Hello fly fishers!
I was just wondering, what is a successful days fishing for you?
I realise that not all rivers are alike, conditions vary and not every angler has the same level of competency, but are you content to catch 1 trout, 5 trout, 10 trout, or are you just happy to be out on the river, in a natural environment, and catching a trout is a bonus?🤔
When you arrive home, what has made your day a success?😃
I’m expecting at least one of the following: ‘not falling in’ or ‘not injuring myself’ ……..or possibly both!!!😂

Hello fly fishers!
Back on the river in tomorrow’s video.
A further section on the river that I fish, has been made accessible and I venture to a lower part in search of trout.
It was a very blustery day and I apologise in advance if it affects your enjoyment of the video. There were times when it definitely affected casting and fishing!!🤦♂️
Get blown away at your usual time tomorrow! 😬

Hello lady and gentlemen fly tyers!
Another traditional fly tomorrow, dating back 150 years - who tied it first, nobody knows!
Slight tweaks over its lifetime have all been to the good, although the basic colours have not changed. Still as successful as it was at the outset!
To be revealed at your usual time.👌

Hello fly tyers.
No super skills required to tie tomorrow’s nymph, so a rapid tying to fill your box quickly!
Using a material seldom used, but it has good movement to attract your quarry!
It’s colour is key!
Catch a little extra time tomorrow to view this video.👍

Hello fly tyers,
We start 2025 with a perdigon tying - seems reasonable!😊
This is an interesting perdigon pattern that represents, I believe, a pheasant tail nymph. As with most perdigons, not a difficult tying.
Chuck out the old and check in the new, at your usual time tomorrow!👌

Fly tying and fishing in Spain
Welcome (Bienvenidos) to Neil’s Spanish Fly Box, where we take a look at some of the flies used in Spain and elsewhere.
¿Hola, que tal? En principio, este es un video diseñado para pescadores que entienden inglés, pero por supuesto, ¡cualquiera puede verlos! Si eres un pescador de habla hispana y te gustaría comentar en español, te responderé en español. ¡No seas tímido!
Learn about some new (some not so new) and interesting fly patterns, that can be found in every Spanish fly fisherman’s armoury, including some ‘must haves’! Real flies for real fly fishers.
I have fly fished in Spanish competitions for over 11 years, on rivers and still water, learning a great deal about the Spanish way of fishing and the flies that are used.
