Hi all, apologies for the complete silence the last few weeks - been very chaotic with work as of late and now my latest trip to the Americas. I'm NOW aiming to have my next video out 10/11 as I look to move towards realigning my upload schedule back to what it was previously. Enjoy the rest of your week as well as a few pictures from my last few days in the US - a new country for me and the channel follows later this week!

Coming up today is a look at what is probably the strangest looking train in Europe - the Dutch ICMm (or "Koploper") - we'll be riding in second class from Utrecht to The Hague as we look into this train's unique design ahead of their eventual retirement in a few years...
Out at 5pm BST, see you then!

Evening all, no video this week as I was back on the road filming over the weekend - that being said, one of the things I recorded will sadly no longer exist come the European timetable change in December...
As I'm sure many of you are aware, the Nightjets out of Paris to Vienna and Berlin are being scrapped by OBB due to reduced funding from the French government and SNCF refusing to support it further. Whilst the Nightjet is admittedly overpriced nowadays, particularly if you want a private sleeper cabin to yourself, scrapping such a popular night train connection doesn't really make much sense and is a rather poor move during a time when rail travel should be encouraged, not shunned.
That being said, there is a petition launched in an attempt to stop the cancellation of the service. Those who want to sign it can find it here: agir.greenvoice.fr/petitions/sauvons-les-trains-de… - it's already at 50,000+ signatures and counting!
Enjoy the rest of your week and I'll see you next Monday!

Up today, we’ll be taking a short international journey in Luxembourg with CFL’s brand new Coradia Max as we cross the border into Belgium. A nice ride given that domestic journeys in the country are free, but there is a slight issue… out at 5pm BST!

Up today is a look at the TGV inOui international service from Paris to Barcelona, spending almost 7 hours in first class on one of SNCF's Euroduplex sets.
This is one video you definitely won't want to miss - live on the channel at 5pm BST, see you then!

Hard to believe it's been almost a year since my last Japanese video, but we're back this week with a ride on the Sunrise Express, Japan's last regularly-scheduled sleeper train which is almost impossible to book with tickets selling out literally minutes after they go on sale... in fact, I was incredibly lucky to have managed to get a deluxe sleeper cabin for this trip, the very last private room on sale a month in advance!
How did I book? How can you book? What's it like inside? Join me at 5pm BST where all of these questions will be answered!

Up today we’re checking out one of Germany’s fastest train services, riding from Berlin to Munich in just under 4 hours on the original ICE 3. See you at 5pm BST for what should be a great journey!

Hi all, just a quick update as there hasn't been any activity on here in almost 2 weeks - those who follow me on BlueSky and Instagram will know I have been out in the field the past couple of weeks, the first of which was filming my attempt at a "DIY Orient Express" where I travelled from London to Istanbul by train. This will be out towards the back end of the year and I was hoping to have a different video out on Monday, but then I fell ill on Sunday and my main focus after that was recovering whilst at the same time trying to make it home, so I had no mental capacity to finish it off. Pleased to say I've been feeling a lot better the past couple of days and I'm back in London, however I've decided to release the video next week once at the normal time once I've gotten back into the swing of things here and caught up on life admin etc ahead of going back to work. In the meantime, here's a few photos from the last few weeks - it really has been an incredible odyssey despite the slight hiccup on the way home, which wouldn't have been possible without all of your support. Thank you so much and may the journey continue!

Thursday's the new Monday... ;)
Up today - the GWR Pullman Dining service between London and Plymouth, the only downside being the rolling stock used...
See you later at 5pm BST!

Alright it's ready! At 5pm UK time today I'll be showcasing "the Espresso Riviera" by Treni Turistici Italiani (Trenitalia's heritage brand) between Marseille and Rome along the French and Italian Rivieras. I heard a lot of good things about TTI and they certainly didn't disappoint... this may even be up there as one of Europe's best sleeper trains at the moment!
See you later!
