When I was 19 I suddenly found myself in the middle of the music industry when I won POPSTARS in 2014. It opened doors to a record deal, a professional studio, and collaborations with talented songwriters and producers. But I soon realized that I longed to find my own voice, and the journey taught me so much.
Today, I do almost everything myself. I write, produce, compose, mix, design artwork, and handle my own promotion. Music is my way of understanding the world, and I also hope to give something back through my songs. I love the freedom of being independent and creating music on my own terms.
Music is my diary. It helps me process life—the beautiful and the difficult. Beyond music, I also work as a folk high school teacher, and the young people I work with inspire me every day. I still remember what it felt like to be a teenager, caught in a whirlwind of emotions, expectations, and doubt. Music isn’t just something I do. It’s who I am.
