RIP to jazz trailblazer George Wein who passed away today at age 95. He is known for being the founder of the well known Newport Jazz Festival as well as the Storyville Club in Boston. Billie Holiday had the honor of performing at both of these venues on multiple occasions as Wein was a fan of hers. So much so, that in 1979 he dedicated one day of the Newport Jazz Festival weekend to her. May he rest in peace ❤️

🚨NEW VIDEO ALERT!🚨
Hello friends! I was recently going over all of the videos I have made over the past decade and there are a few that I felt needed to be reworked. One of them is Billie Holiday's appearance on the radio program "New World A-Coming" from 1944. Being young and naive I realized that I did not use the proper audio from that program and I decided to right that wrong by "remastering" the video. This new video will have Lady Day singing the version of "Fine and Mellow" and "All of Me" that she actually sang on the program. The one used in the older video is from a date at the Apollo a year later. It is to premiere tomorrow at 5PM PST and I can't wait for you all to see!
