Hi - No stream today... I was going to do a wet stream from inside my car but then the weather report said it was going to turn southerly which will come straight into the back of WFL central mobile unit. (My Subaru Outback)

So I might spend the afternoon coming up with a new song or 2 to play in those beautiful quiet moments between planes..

I am due to go to Auckland next weekend which will be fun but need to get my permissions sorted this week.. It will be a Day - Night - Morning stream hopefully..

I am also in the process of making an upgrade to the video capture side of WFL and making it both more complicated and my stream set up simpler.. It is always a compromise.. But taking WFL vision into the future.. Thanks to your support and donations for making it possible.

Howdy - I am going to do a night stream this Friday and a day stream the next day.. I had decided on the Auckland Airport Novotel because it was right at the airport and any other accommodation options would take a taxi ride and time to get from and to.. Maximizing stream time. I have just been contacted by the hotel to say for an extra $25 I can get a runway view room.. which creates an opportunity.. So my poll is.. Would you be interested in seeing a static overnight stream with no commentary/no sound (Sound proof windows) of Auckland airport ?

My first Christchurch Night stream is on Sunday the 9th of June..

So exciting.. and I have a bit of a journey to get down to Christchurch courtesy of Sounds Air.. I love the airline and so enjoy showing then on my streams.. Here is my flights down

S8329 - Departing Wellington at 12.45pm and Arriving at Blenheim at 1.15pm
S8695 - Departing Blenheim at 5pm and Arriving in Christchurch at 5:50pm

I hope to be up and Streaming at 7pm for my first Christchurch Night stream..

Auckland Stream Postponed..

So sorry.. Although I applied for permission more than a week before ... the person responsible for granting access had been swamped with work and although said it would be ready last Wednesday they then got sick. I hope he gets better soon.

Unfortunately I am not willing to go ahead without permission as I want to keep the good reputation that Wellington Flights Live has with the airport. I will reschedule the trip for another date.

So I will schedule a Wellington Stream instead.. So we can still have some fun with planes and friends..

WFL takes Flight with Sounds Air !!!

Sounds air offered me a Flight experience and boy did I Jump at that one..
I took off on S8901 this morning in my absolute favourite single prop plane.. The PC12 (The one that had the WFL sign in the window!) to the beautiful town of Westport.. Such a great trip

Shout out to Cody and Oli the pilot and I was so surprised to jump into the seat next the the pilot.. Wow !!!

It was a great flight out and back.. Not much wind unfortunately.. Oli was hoping for a 70 knot cross wind for me to experience the greatness of landing at Wellington but we got a 16 knot head wind instead.. Maybe next time Oli.. LOL

I had an absolute blast of a morning it was awesome and shout out to Sounds Air who are an awesome airline.. Check them out next time you are thinking of flying around New Zealand and see if one of their planes goes to your destination..

I have fallen even more deeply in love with the PC12.. Such an epic plane.. boy did it rocket and lift off so quickly..

Watch for the video once I have edited it up..

Just a quick note to say I have sent flowers to our beautiful Prop Queen Barbara P Sterling..
No Further update yet. The flowers should arrive on the 28th of December US time.
I so wish I could do more but while we have a worldwide community - being an ocean away is not convenient at times.

Update on Barbara P Sterling.. Our beautiful Prop Queen

Hi - I would like to give you an update on Barb.. Thanks to the Detective work of Skittles and Mark Totten I have been in touch with Pat who is Barb's Brothers wife.

On Saturday she was visited by the SC Police and Fire service and she was transported to the Carolina Forrest Grand Strand Medical Center ER and given care.

I am in touch with her Brother and will give updates on her condition but please do not call the medical center as they are unable to give you any updates due to privacy.

I will send flowers when I can.. Please keep her in our thoughts and Prayers and hope for the best.. She is one beautiful person and has done so much for me as your host to believe in myself and made me seen the real beauty of those gorgeous propellor planes that she loves..

Keep your family close and enjoy them this Christmas break.. Hug them for Barb and enjoy the precious time with your family if you are able to be with them..
