Please do yourself a favor and take some time to set up your studio speakers to the best of your ability according to the manufacturer's suggestions. You don't need the best speakers available, but there are quite a good ones out there that are affordible! At the very least, please do these few basic things:
1. Center your speakers in between your left and right walls to make sure your stereo image is consistent!
2. Make sure the speakers are the same height and level (like in my photo)
3. Position the speakers to make an equilateral triangle with your listening position. Don't know what that is? Google or ChatGPT is your best friend.
With that basic starting point, you will be 80% of the way there! Next comes acoustic treatment, phase/timing alignment, and room tuning.... or just mix on headphones 🤣

New achievement unlocked. Mixing/mastering room is +/- 1.2 dB with psychoacoustic smoothing! The sonic image is INSANE now!

Sometimes I think mastering is more about volume automation than it is signal processing with EQs, compressors, or saturators...No need to overthink a great mix!
