What is meaning of gurbani?
Gurbani is also referred to as Dhur Ki Bani (เจงเฉเจฐ เจเฉ เจฌเจพเจฃเฉ; meaning the speech from the Supreme house). In the Adi Granth, it is considered a source of spiritual knowledge which illuminates the mind and gives internal bliss. The one who comprehends Gurbani is also described as an Amritdhari.
What does gurbani contains?
It contains the words spoken by the Gurus. This is known as Gurbani , which means 'from the Guru's mouth'. It is believed to be the word of God and is therefore infallible
The word Gurbani consists of two roots - Guru and Bani. The word "Guru" means "spiritual teacher" and here refers to the ten Gurus of Sikhism, the other Bhagats and writers whose writings can be found in the holy Guru Granth. The word "Bani" s refers to their utterances and writings.
