Hi everyone!
Well I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I found out last week that my chemo drug stopped working.
The good news is I have a specific mutation in my cancer cell that theyāve known about for years and have special medicines that combats the mutation called PIK3CA. The Research Department is currently testing a new generation of a drug that targets the mutation specifically.
I tried once to get into the clinical trial, but they couldnāt take me. BUT now they can! I am starting with the trial this week. It means a lot of driving to and from Boston, but my sister and I decided we would take Uber, which will be reimbursed by the trial. It still means a lot of appointments and time on my part, but I donāt mind.
If I could, Iād love to get your prayers and/or good wishes as I go through the trial. I donāt know what my schedule will be like for the next couple of months though.
I think about you all the time and I appreciate your email notes. I hope I will be back soon. Right now I have various aches and pains, which I am dealing with but am getting my energy back during this time when I have no medicine in my body.
I love you all and canāt wait to get back to crafting with you again.

Hi everyone!
Sorry I have been silent for the past few weeks. I am doing well and the new chemo is working, but my schedule keeps getting messed up which is making it difficult to do new videos.
Iām hoping that the schedule will improve and that I wonāt have last minute changes so I can record at least one video a week. Itās difficult because Mondays often get messed up, which throws me off for the whole week.
But I feel good and the medication is working.
Iāll do a better job at communicating things going forward.
