Hi everyone! This is the week I say my good-byes to my EF students. This morning I said, "I Love You, Good-bye!" in Chinese to my student of two years. She was so tickled.🥰 She couldn't believe I actually spoke in Chinese. It was super cute!! I think I made her proud.

Hi Everyone!
I have a new student whom I've only taught three times so far. During the second class, I noticed she typed "666" in the chatbox. I didn't react to it, instead, I pretended as if I didn't see it. During our third class, which was today, she typed "666" in the chatbox again. After class was over I did a little research to see what the "666" meant in the Chinese culture.
According to Google, it means:
666 – "You're doing amazing sweetie," 666 (pinyin: liùliùliù) represents 溜溜溜 (pinyin: liùliùliù); or smooth/slick (comes from Chinese gaming slang, where gamers would put '666' in the chat after seeing another showing an impressive skill)
Needless to say, we have another class scheduled for next week and I'm looking forward to receiving my "666"
