About
Hello. I am a retired engineer who started with a career in music as a US Air Force musician. My father played saxophone, I play saxophone, and my son, Tim Lacatena, plays saxophone. After a couple of years of music study at Michigan State University and nine years with Air Force bands, I went to the University of New Mexico for a degree in Electrical Engineering. I continued to study and play music as time allowed. Now I am coming back full circle to try to take my playing to the next step by doing a lot of transcribing of the great rock and jazz players. This channel is to document that journey.
