𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜?
Last week, I gave a virtual keynote speech with the title chosen by the client 'Strive Stronger with Purpose'.
I shared a number of stories and lessons from my #selfleadership work, as well as #thenewleadershipplaybook.
Towards the end of the speech, we ran a Mentimeter quiz, with a call to action, to see which lessons the audience was most inspired to apply. The answer was #celebration.
We sometimes forget to celebrate our #teams, and we often forget to celebrate ourselves.
The photo I shared was my birthday, last year, where I celebrated, surviving major surgery, moving countries, and turning 60!
Today, I turn 61, and am celebrating a mantra that I share with my #coaching clients:

I'm also celebrating that I get to share my experiences and acquired wisdom with the next generation, I'm truly #grateful.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝟭𝟬-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝟭-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿'𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝗫
I imagine you have heard this maxim before?
Well, this week I got to reflect on it because it marks 1-Year since I moved from Singapore to Portugal.
Singapore was a great hub to operate my coaching, speaking and leadership consultancy. I could easily fly to service my clients in Asia and Silicon Valley was a direct flight.
Everything has a season, and I was already looking for a new base when the pandemic hit. My first thoughts were the #unitedstates but #europe and specifically Portugal came out on top.
In just 1-year, I have been able to travel multiple times to America, Sweden, France, the UK, and Spain, as well as provide services to my clients in other countries virtually.
I have learned how to drive a manual car on the right side of the road and into some of the smallest car parks known to man, and whilst I am not fluent in Portuguese, I am functional in a restaurant or shop.
I share this, not to brag, but to share my gratitude for a great year and to inspire you to make each year count. Before I left Singapore I had a health scare and faced my mortality, now I can reasonably expect to live to 80, so I can plan for 20-more years of learning and adding value.

The New Leadership Playbook doesn't launch until tomorrow, May 16th, but with fellow authors, coaches, speakers, a CEO, and a founder at my BBQ I had to sign some books 🙂
