The massacre of Christians in Nigeria is absolutely heartbreaking.
Every time I read about it, Iβm left with a pit in my stomach.
Here in the UK, there are many Nigerians, and in my own life, I've had the privilege of having friends and extended family from Nigeria.
Even though my Nigerian extended family are Muslim, I still hear about the struggles and the huge gap in living standards across much of the country.
To think of ordinary people just going to work, just trying to feed their families being kidnapped and killed⦠it almost feels hopeless.
But Iβd like to ask if we could say a prayer today for all those who are persecuted for following Christ, whether in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world.
Let us pray for peace.
Let us pray that God would comfort the hearts of all those affected.
Let us pray that those who have lost their family and companions would know His presence and His company.

Formerly a Muslim, I used to make Dawah videos to convert people to Islam and to realise that the Quran is true and from God.
After 7 years of making videos and many more practicing my religion, I decided to critically look at my beliefs and hold them to the same standard I help other religions and belief systems.
What did I conclude? That the Quran has been corrupted and there are many errors and inconsistencies.
After apologising to my viewers for misleading them, I'm on a journey to show the truth about my previous beliefs.
I'm doing this because in the eyes of God, if I've mislead anyone, I must do my best to apologise and show them why I was wrong so they can then research and make their own conclusions.
