This past week is called "Holy Week." A week where we remember Jesus riding in on a donkey, His last supper with His disciples, His betrayal by Judas, His arrest, His trial, people yelling "crucify him," the cross, and most importantly the resurrection. Now, we call the Friday before Easter "Good Friday." It's easy for us to call it Good Friday because we know what happens just three days later, but I want to think back to that day, when it seemed like all hope was lost. I imagine it being very dark, quiet, and still....
BUT GOD!!! God defeated sin, death, and the grave on that holy day. Tomorrow is Easter where we remember... HE IS RISEN!!! Death could not hold Him, He is our RISEN SAVIOR!!! Who conquered the grave for you and for me!!! Let's really remember this weekend, but also each and every day.

3 Tips That'll Guarantee You Finish Your Bible Reading Plan and ENJOY IT!
1️⃣ Physical Reminder to Read the Bible
Give yourself a physical reminder. For me, I can't sit down at my desk without first asking, "Have I read my Bible today?" It's just this thing I've set up in my brain and my heart, I don't want to start work until I've actually read God's Word.
2️⃣ Ask One Question
Once you've been in God's Word, ask one question. You don't have to take a bajillion notes and spend hours in the Word to have a good Bible study. What's *one thing* you want to dig deeper into? For example, Genesis 1. I might ask the question what did it actually look like for God to make man? I could then google, use my resources (commentaries, Bible dictionary, etc.) and dig deeper. BONUS: If you're reading your Bible looking for that "one thing", it'll guarantee that you're alert when you're reading. Plus, answering those questions and actually understanding scripture for the first time in our life is really addicting and really enjoyable. So it's a win, win.
3️⃣ Give Yourself Grace
You're going to get sick, you're going to travel and you need those grace days.

Have you ever been reading the Bible and thought..."I don't understand what's going on"... or "I have no idea what I just read"?
There are about 5 approaches that I tend to use when I'm studying a passage of scripture and I'm going to walk you through these approaches real quick.
#1 Outline ✔️
I ask myself would it be helpful if I group some verses together to better understand the narrative of the passage
#2 Verse Mapping✔️
This is taking a particular verse that you're trying to study in depth and breaking up each and every word and its meaning and how it calls us to action.
#3 Cross Reference✔️
There are a lot of passages in the Old Testament that have to do with whatever passage you're studying in the New Testament or flip that! It can also be helpful to hear about what Paul says vs. what Jams says, etc!
#4 Word Study✔️
So you take a word and study that word in depth, looking at all of the other places that it is used in the Bible, the meaning, the context, and understanding. (Bonus tip: my favorite tool for this is Bible Hub)

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word WORSHIP?! Most of the time we like to think of the holy worship as Sunday-morning-arms raised high kinda moments. But being faithful even in the mundane, messy, ugly, boring parts is really a lot more life-giving and life-changing sometimes. I like to turn on prayerful music and pray for those who use the bathroom I'm cleaning. Or pray for those who can't afford to eat, while I am cooking, etc.
And then, when I really want to throw myself a pity party, I think about JESUS being made human. The thirty years of mundane, (mostly ordinary living) he lived before His full time ministry work. I think about the carpentry He must have done alongside Joseph. I like to think about Him brushing away the sweat in His eyes, as He sanded down some old ancient chair, & prayed for those seated at His heavenly table one day. 🥹 GOODNESS HE'S JUST TOO GOOD!!! And then, folding, cooking, cleaning becomes worship. Our lives are to live for the Lord! A complete act of worship in everything we do. When our mindset shifts to worshipping God in everything we do, we live differently, we live for HIM!!! What are some ways that you worship the Lord through your day?
