Our new project "Planet Chamber Music" wants to convey the cultural value of chamber music to a new generation and a brand concert audience by making it possible to analyze works and interpretations in both physical and digital form. The performance material is distributed in the form of high-quality videos on the internet, archived and continuously expanded, so that a kind of "digital library" grows up over the years.
We are pleased to release our first videos today: The incredible trio with Isabelle Faust, Jean-Guihen Queyras and Alexander Melnikov plays the Beethoven Piano Trio, Op. 97 (Archduke Trio). If you want to learn more about the background of the piece we recommend to check out the analysis video before enjoying the performance. Felix Lindenmaier, former professor of music theory at Musikakademie Basel, gives some background information by pointing out specific examples played by the musicians: https://youtu.be/96ylQmgIs6k
