I have bad news.
My weekly streams are cancelled until further notice.
Last week and this week has had a lot of ups and downs, but today has capped it all off with me being the victim of sexual assault while I was working. I have experienced trauma like I've never known and have taken several hours to resolve the damages and the impact it has had on my mental health as well as the health of my brain.
I will be spending the rest of the summer in therapy so I can better heal from today's disaster, as well as improving my overall mental health and my marriage to my amazing wife.
I have hope and pray that I will be in a position to continue my Nuzlocke series as I was super pumped to begin playing Birth By Sleep, arguably the best Kingdom Hearts game in the series. But as of right now, that is not happening, at least not for the time being.
You guys are more than welcome to stick around, make comments on my videos (I read all of them, even if I do not respond right away), and so on.
Optionally--and do not waste your money if you are financially strapped for cash--if you are wanting to help relieve some of the mental pain I have endured, you can donate to my Venmo @Brandon-Kellogg22. Again, this is completely optional as most of the healing will be through therapy, not money. I've watched some of the footage of the vods for Attempt 11's failure vs Xemnas and have decided to take a madman's approach for my next playthrough.
That being said, this coming Monday's normal stream from 5-9pm in the Rockies (7-11pm Eastern USA/Canada, Midnight to 4 am in London, and 4-8pm on the west coast USA/Canada) will be full of surprises. See you all then!

Kingdom Hearts Nuzlocke attempt 8 continues

In the VERY early stages of creating a 30-45 minute video for a Final Fantasy X-2 remake that I hope to get the attention of Square Enix (combined with learning Unreal Engine 5 on my very own as well as the accompaniments for the piano for every major FFX track that I want included in the video), I have a quote for Tidus that will be said towards the beginning of the game/story. And I am VERY proud of it.
For context, SE previously announced a plan (following FFVII part 3's release as well as KH4's release) to fully remake Final Fantasy X and X-2, in preparation to incorporate an eventual Final Fantasy X-3, with that horrible 45 minute audio story released for the X/X-2 remaster version in 2014 being officially recognized as canon. I have plans to pitch to Square Enix through YouTube (and virality, with help from a few friends of mine that are fluent in both English and Japanese) a concept that should have existed in the Video Game and Movie industries long before I was born: instead of making FFX-3, retcon Final Fantasy X-2 and completely revise the story. Despite being widely successful in Japan, FFX-2 made abysmal sales in the US and Canada and had extremely strong negative reviews. Many critics argue that the only reason for FFX-2's existence was to bring Tidus back, a viewpoint that I partially align with. In my honest opinion, there is NOTHING wrong with admitting you made a mistake and completely remaking a game from scratch and starting over. The idea of this is NOT to be fan fiction, but rather to get the attention of Square Enix and be so persuasive that they actually decide to follow through with my plan and remake the FFX-2 story, with a new plot, a new A story, a new B story, and new and familiar characters. As such, I am pulling out all the stops. I already play piano, but I have plans to make every song an arrangement for the piano in the video, performed and recorded by me. I already have access to Unreal Engine 5 and will use it regularly for the character design as well as the overworld design, and so on. I am also making a long script and story concept to incorporate into the 30-45 minute video. Furthermore, I don't know how, but I will do EVERYTHING in my power to get ahold of James Arnold Taylor as well as Hedy Burress to read the lines for their respective characters in this video, even if doing so delays the release of this video. It's going to be EPIC. More details will follow, and for the time being, I am not revealing any plot points, as this entire project will likely take about two years to complete, but this plot point WILL make it into the final video, which I want to share with all of you:

And lastly, the narration of my own voice which will not be in quotes, and the quote by Tidus. The quotes are him telling the story in the past tense, similar to what happened for most of FFX:
Tidus grieves for quite some time over no longer being in Spira. Despite joining the actual Zanarkand Abes and rising through the ranks to become their star player, his thoughts are only focused on Yuna and other friends he met in Spira. The irony he feels during this time is beyond words he can describe. "After all this time, I finally made it home, only to find out the Zanarkand I grew up in and the real Zanarkand are actually two different places. Nobody knew who I was or where I was from. I half expected to be welcomed home with honor, you know for helping Yuna defeat Sin, the greatest adversary Spira has faced for an entire Millennium; but nobody even knew who or what Sin was, let alone what would happen to all of them when it finally showed up here in Zanarkand; but I thought, 'maybe someone could say or do something that would cheer me up. You know, give me some sense of peace for everything I've been through and that this is all just a bad dream, that tomorrow I'll wake up in Besaid hearing Wakka brag to everyone about how the Auroches are back, Lulu saying I was being too reckless and stupid, or Yuna saying 'I love you' just one more time.' But nothing." He pauses for a moment. "It's kinda funny," he continued, "I was back home. And yet... my home was still somewhere else. I was in love. And that person I was in love with wouldn't even exist for almost 1,000 years."

Hey everyone! I just finished DoorDashing and brought home enough supplies to tend to my wife who is very sick right now. I will be spending the rest of my day with her.

Tonight's stream was a challenging one. For those of you that are new, the stream continues on Mondays from 5-9 pm MDT (7-11 pm EST USA/CA), with the option to start as early as 4 pm and/or end as late as 10 pm. As usual, from one KH nuzlocker to the next, always remember to get up on the hydra's back.
In other news, I am currently working on the KH CoM Riku Nuzlocke video. I hope to get that out sometime later this week.

Kingdom Hearts Basic Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Must be played on the hardest possible mode
2. Any time the main playable character dies and is unable to proceed due to story reasons or other game mechanics (saved by Mickey, Sabor 1, Leon 1, Coliseum Tourneys, etc), the run is automatically over.
3. The run begins under one of the following criteria:
a. The prompt appears "From this point forward, if your HP hits zero, it's game over."
b. If no such prompt appears in the game, then the run begins after the tutorial OR
c. Leaving the first world (the Land of Departure, etc)
4. Anything that can be nicknamed must be nicknamed (gummi ships, dream eaters, etc)
5. The run is completed upon finishing the main story. DLC, Olympus Tournaments, the BBS Secret Episode, etc are optional.
