Birds 🐦🪹
Birds are simple creatures with feathers and wings, usually able to fly. There are many species and variations of them, but they’re all in the commune. Out of consideration, flying programs are available for those who wish to learn to stay afloat in the air.
Bronto Burt. These carefree bird-like insects are commonly found fluttering around the skies and often collide with others; Being regarded as a pest.
Pengy. Vindictive penguin-like creatures that release streams of ice breath. It is the Pengys' fate to wander far and wide but have suffered from global warming; Causing the tribe to split apart and forcing them to find a new home! Some other penguin-like creatures tagging alongside them include… The timid Emp, whom are afraid of their own shadows. The orderly but polite Corori, whom go about their days playing by the snow.
Birdon. Frantic parrot-like aviators with fearsome wings. After being stuck in birdcages for so long, Some Birdons have escaped, choosing to travel the world and look for freedom, flying high to new horizons.
Dyna blade. A mystical, monstrous, enormous, armored, achiyalabopa-like bird. Revered as a celestial bird god since ancient times! Dyna blade is seen ruining Dreamland’s crops, but unbeknownst to everyone, this was in order to care for her hungry chicks. To make amends with Dyna Blade, Kirby fed her chick's apples from Whispy Woods and helped them learn how to fly. According to history books containing vast amounts of information on Dyna Blade... Dyna Blade appears every century to lay an egg and will ensure their safety by any means necessary. Making all the birds in Planet Popstar fear and respect her and her chicks.
Burnis. Flame birds that thrive in volcanoes and drop hot rocks on those who come near them. Burnis' cousin… Frigis; Arctic Birds that thrive in the cold and drops ice chunks on those who come near them.
Big Birdee. Big Birdee is the proud and devoted chicken-like head of the Birdee family. Big Birdee's nest is shown to be situated in Sandy Canyon. She will briefly travel to Green Grounds to gather food to feed the Wee Birdees. Kirby accidentally crashes into Big Birdee and causes her to drop her basket full of food. After getting into a squabble with Kirby, The Wee Birdees were captured by the Gegs! After Kirby rescued her chicks from the Gegs, she is overjoyed and becomes a permanent ally to Kirby.
Witches 🧙♀️🧹
Witches are those who practice magic; Particularly dark, nature, and healing magic. To graduate magic school, witches must make as many people happy as possible using their magic.
Gryll is a casual yet kiddish witch who intends to become the greatest Star Stacker there ever was. Gryll and their sentient onion and turnip-like comrades named Salt, Pepper, and Sugar… Are determined to find and challenge the most skilled Star Stackers in the galaxy, traveling planet to planet on their magic broom. Thus, challenging Kirby, who was Planet Popstar’s most skilled Star Stacker.
Regularly found traveling freely throughout the dark, gloomy, and cloudy skies, with her magic broom is Keke, the mellow cat-like witch.
Broom hatter. A pesky, bewitching, faceless blob-like clean freak. An apprentice witch who quietly travels above the skies on their broom to find their next destination to sweep up; Desiring to clean the entire world.
Pauline. Pauline is the youngest descendant of a family of great and powerful witches; However, she is the weakest amongst them; Fascinated by culinary arts. After hearing about Kirby and King Dedede's admiration for food and stumbling upon the Dream Fork, Pauline used the Dream Fork in an attempt to gain recognition, to pass her exam, and to offer the best of both worlds to the witch society. Pauline then used her magic to look more mature and hosted a gourmet fest for all the citizens of Dreamland to partake in.
Celestial Bodies 🪐💫
Stars. Found all across the cosmos. Stars often take shape from heavy impacts and from one’s dreams! Stars come in many variations and carry distinct abilities.
Point stars. Collecting a hundred of these small stars will form into a 1UP; An item that grants one life energy.
Star Blocks. Building blocks that fall from the sky and become a part of the environment; Often forming into barricades.
Sparkling stars. Magical stars used by society to gain energy and gather food. These Stars are heroic and go out of their way to help others. They’re sheltered by the Fountain Of Sparkling Stars and enjoy resting above the Fountain Of Dreams.
Warp Stars. Shooting stars that are used by society as transportation. These stars can be used for combat and can travel faster than the speed of light if pushed to the limit.
Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright. The powerful dutiful pair of celestial bodies, The Moon and Sun respectively. They’re the rulers of night and day, working together to keep Planet Popstar in perfect balance.
Alongside them, a glistening star composed of many smaller stars.. named Mr. Star, spends his days traveling about and above Planet Popstar, while being a contender for a game known as “Star Stacking”. Star Stacking challenges one to manipulate pairs of falling objects from the sky to clear away as many Star Blocks as one can.
Orbservors 👁️🔘
The mean, observant, rogue, persistent, parasitic, and slimy cycloptic creatures.. that suddenly drop from the desolate skies.
They’re said to be “bad guys whom appear out of nowhere,” or “when one would least expect them to.”
These independent eyeballs can possess others. They particularly choose to take the possession of statuesque orbs to defend themselves and use the environment to their advantage.
Kracko ⛈️⚡️
A sensitive territorial selfish cycloptic sentient cloud monster that lives in the skys. Stated to be the ruler and gatekeeper of the sky; existing since ancient times.
As long as there are clouds in the sky, Kracko will always exist. Kracko is said to hold great power.. causing thunderstorms that even gods cannot fathom!
Many Krackos exist in the world, including on other planets and dimensions! All holding similar regards to protecting their respective environments and training to become as strong as their predecessors.
Whispy Woods 🌳🍎
A friendly moralistic but bold sentient apple tree that has existed since ancient times. Known as guardian of the forest, he doesn’t take kindly to anyone who gets too close to his roots; challenging those who do.
Whispy Woods is not only the guardian of the forests residing in dreamland but many other locations found in planet popstar. Hopping from one place to another.
However, multiple sentient trees exist. Even outside of Planet Popstar! All holding similar regards to protecting their respective environments.
Nruff and Nelly 🐗💨
These keen, fast moving warthog and boar-like creatures are known to run back and forth in a multitude of areas on different worlds.
Commonly mounted on by natives. They await the opportunity to strike their foes and once chased.. there is no outrunning them!
They are often seen looking after the environment as a collection. Amidst this, the maternal Nruff are held accountable for looking after the Nellys, the young-ins; until they’ve reached their development.
Pon and Con 🦝🦊
The friendly and comedic fatherly duo. Pon the tanooki-like raccoon and Con the kitsune-like fox. These mischievous magical creatures of mythology look after nature. While hosting a comedy show on the side!
Lying within Planet Misteen’s moon; Mareen moon… Are Goldon and Silvox. These conscious territorial glittery metallic statues that resemble Pon and Con, made their home on a backwater island in order to protect themselves from treasure hunters. As they are of great value!
Rumor has it they built a giant raft to leave the island to go elsewhere, but are afraid they’ll sink trying to.
