Autistic trait of the day that my parents refuse to see as an autism symptom:
I only eat cheese. That sounds like an exaggeration, but it’s true. Everyday, I HAVE to eat cheese in some form, and if not, I’ll feel like my day is ruined. I have a specific order of what cheese foods I have to eat. Cheese sandwich first, then quesadilla. If they switch, then it feels wrong. If there’s a different ingredient involved, I will not eat it. It has to be the exact same every single time. Ofc, I eat OTHER cheese related foods, such as chips and cheese, picaditas (can’t spell it sorry), tacos con fresco queso, etc. but I HAVE to eat a cheese sandwich and quesadilla in that order.
(I’m making these so I can have enough evidence, even though I shouldn’t have to prove myself considering these were all apparent in my childhood and now)
A nice memory I have is listening to View-Monster while doing my math homework in my room with the lights off, as the sun was starting to set. It sounds dumb, but I genuinely have so many great associations with Lemon Demon. Maybe that’s why I love him so much.

Don’t you just love it when you’re finally on the road of self improvement, trying your best to boost your self esteem, and then your family comes in and calls you narcissistic, therefore putting you back to square one of self loathing?
My dad thinks he knows everything about me, but really he only knows what I was like when I was a toddler. A baby, even. This applies to my whole family. I can’t be myself around them because they’ll make fun of me for being in my teenager phase, or the obligatory, “what happened to my little girl? You used to be so happy.” You happened. That’s what.
Sometimes I wonder if my family actually loves me, or just loves the baby-like persona I put on whenever I’m stressed.
