I do not know how many times I have said
this before. "Without focus, one can not
achieve anything good in life." An Elliott wave
trader can become an expert flat correction
trader.
Another may decide to turn into a specialist
C-minor wave flat correction trader. Others may prefer
the ABCDE or zigzag pattern.
The trick is to find what has been working for you, and
drill it until you master it 360 degree.
It could be the flat correction or third Elliott wave.
When day trading, I love to trade the C-minor wave
on 15M or 4H chart. Why? Just because it has been
smiling to me, and I love it. Does it work all times?
No. It just works more often. That is all.

Extended WXY Wave Pattern
An extended WXY wave can take up to ten or fifty years.
The truth is that at the start, one may not know exactly
how long it will take. Unless the Elliott wave trading
strategies have been confirmed. That is why, I often
say "the Elliott wave count or analysis is one step at
a time."
I also put a question mark on certain waves,
and just concentrate on the price-action without going
ahead of it.
Do you know that many road users think that after the
amber light there will definitely be a green light?
In reality, the amber indicates that one must proceed with
caution provided that the road is cleared. The traffic controller
can still turn that amber light into red in an emergency. Think of
a police car that is chasing a suspect at that point.
Now you get it. That is exactly how one should deal with the
Elliott wave patterns or WXY wave correction. Anything is
possible as the pattern is being formed.
Having said that an intelligent Elliott wave trader has an edge.

Complex WXY Wave Pattern
There are times when the WXY wave pattern
is complex. After the a WXY wave, most
Elliott wave traders expect an impulse wave
or trend. Nevertheless, there could be a
complex WXY wave pattern in the form of
WXY-X-CORRECTION.
In that instance, the
X-wave is connecting the first WXY with
another corrective wave. That another corrective
wave could also be a complex wave too. To avoid all
confusion, one ought to focus on the X-wave
because it always connects two corrective waves.
Alright, just stay out of it if it is too complex for you,
and leave it to the expert Elliott wave traders to trade those.
Think of it like the deep end of a swimming pool.
The question is are you a little fish that can swim
in deep waters like the pros?
Do not worry, one can learn to master the complex
WXY wave if one really gives it time and patience.

This Is Zigzag Pattern
Most swing traders love to trade the
C-minor wave of the zigzag pattern.
In general, it is often easier to trade
the last segment of an Elliott wave
pattern. It is like the last lap of a
Formula One race. Sometimes, it is
as speedy as a real F1 last lap.

Zigzag Internal Waves
The internal waves structure of a zigzag correction is (5, 3, 5).
The first 5 internal waves are not always visible because they
are often hidden in a sharp correction.
However, C-minor wave of the
zigzag more often exhibits its internal waves. The zigzag pattern
is ABC pattern, and both A and C are its motive waves that can be
subdivided into five minor waves. The B-minor wave is a corrective
wave of the zigzag.
Note that both A and C and their own 1st, 3rd and 5th minor
waves can be extended.
Everyone can read and understand what I have just said, but the most
important thing is to get the revelation behind those words such as
five, three and extensions, and be able to forecast the next price-action.

The C-Minor Wave Of Flat Correction Pattern
Yes, I will trade the C-minor internal wave of the
Elliott wave flat correction pattern any days. Though,
one is expecting it to be subdivided into five minor
waves, one should never take it for granted.
By using
the Andrews pitchfork tool, one will avoid fighting the
financial markets patterns. I just wish I knew of the
power of the Andrews pitchfork tool when I started
trading first as a new trader.
The Elliott wave forecast is an expectation, but the price
must confirm it. When it confirms it, one must now use
the top-down trading method to improve the market timing,
and reduce those cute risks.

Expanded Flat Correction
One of my favourite Elliott wave patterns is the expanded flat correction.
I am more interested in the C-minor wave from the end of the B-minor
wave till the end of the C-minor wave.
One can add to the initial trading
position after the 2nd and 4th minor waves of the C-minor wave.
In all cases, one must use a top-down trading method to control
the risk, and improve market timing.
