I see people come against the doctrines of grace (Calvinism) all the time on social media. I don't really like the term Calvinism because John Calvin did not invent the doctrines of grace, he merely brought God's sovereignty in salvation to the forefront in theology, but it is the term most know.
I challenge anyone to read this passage and tell me that God is not in complete control of everything and who He saves and who He doesn't save.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Go back and read that passage over and over. Study it. Meditate on it. If you believe and you are trusting in Christ alone for your salvation and eternal life, it's because God chose you before the foundation of the world, died for you and called you, giving you the ability and faith to believe and will keep you until the end, no matter what.
Praise Him for that today.

Hopefully sometime this month I would like to start a new series here on the channel called Verse in Detail. Unlike Scripture Clarity this would be more about exegeting the verse in, well, more detail. A mini sermon as it were I suppose you could call it. I had to move fairly quickly and things have been a little hectic. I do have a few videos already recorded so hopefully not too long between videos, but they won't be coming quite as fast as they have before. Also going to have to be working externally here soon, so I will do my best to keep the videos coming as quickly as possible.
