Hi everyone! In case you missed me, here's a little update for my dear subscribers.
I've been a bit swamped with many life changes recently and I haven't been able to upload more content. By the end of the month I expect to get rid of these burdens so you can have more Chihon Teaches content very soon!
I'll leave here a picture from a couple of weeks ago when I attended a very interesting lecture from professor Peter Adamson! His main focus of interest is Arabic philosophy, but he is worldwide famous for his podcast and series of books "History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps". I own a couple of his books myself and I thoroughly recommend them. He also kindly agreed to take this selfie with me, so I'll leave it here for your enjoyment.

Plato's Cave available in 8 languages!!!
I have translated Plato's Cave Allegory from Ancient Greek into English, and made that translation available in 7 other languages. This is specially thinking in people who would like to enjoy Plato's philosophy without the requirement of engaging with Ancient Greek. Let me know what you think!

Chihon Teaches turns 3 years old!!!
On December 5th 2020, I decided to embark on this YouTube journey as a way to cope with the difficulties of pandemic lockdowns and academic pressures. Today, 3 years later, it's hard for me to believe that my love for Ancient Greek and philosophy echoed in so many of you. At the time of this post, Chihon Teaches has been seen more than 100K times and we are about to reach 1,500 subscribers!
I want to thank you all for your support and helpful feedback. Teaching is my strongest passion and I'm happy to know that my content has been useful for so many people. Now my studies are about to be over, which means that I'll be able to dedicate more time to creating videos for you. In the latest poll I made it was very clear (88%!!!) that you guys want more Ancient Greek content. I'm preparing a couple of videos on that topic, so we can all learn together and create a wonderful community for the lovers of wisdom and languages. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!

Hi everyone! YouTube just released a podcast feature so that creators can popularise their content in an audio-only format! I'll be putting there the lectures and conversations that are best suitable to this format so you can enjoy Chihon Teaches on the go!
These will be available soon through the YouTube Music app and through youtube.com/podcasts . I understand that at the moment of making this post the website is only available in the US, but soon it will be available worldwide. Let me know what you think about it in the comments!

I'm Chihon Ley Polanco, PhD Candidate in Philosophy, and I want to make philosophy more accessible to everyone, especially to people who have never engaged with philosophy. My main field of study is ancient philosophy, but I want to cover a broad range of topics of general interest as well.
In this channel you can expect small courses and lectures about various philosophical topics, some insights in Ancient Greek language, conversations and interviews made to and by people who are passionate about philosophy, and even other intellectual fields of interest such as chess!
