TThomas Lefort is a French violinist and disciple of Ivry Gitlis, whose musical legacy he now upholds. At ease in all repertoires, "a magnetic musical personality with a wonderful imagination, he plays with a style reminiscent of the great violinists of the Golden Age" (Glenn Dicterow, former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic). A graduate of the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he also studied with Patrice Fontanarosa and Roland Daugareil, in Italy with Salvatore Acccardo and in Switzerland with Renaud Capuçon. He is the winner of numerous international competitions (Ginette Neveu, Rodolfo Lipizer, Isaac Stern in Shanghai...) and performs in the greatest concert halls and festivals in France and abroad. He is the founder and artistic director of the Festival Les Étoiles du Classique in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, which attracts several thousand people each year and aims to make classical music accessible to all.
