In February 2025, I travelled to London with a friend, to pitch our business ideas to Simon Squibb's ringcam. The day didn't to to plan when my car broke down, but the day still went perfectly - eventually.

It was also the day Rory Lemon launched his book NeuroCreative Recollections, under my mentorship, in collaboration with the ‪@self-help-bookshelf‬

The plan was to leave Brighton at noon and be back for 7pm for the book launch, but we only just reached Shoreditch by 6:30pm.

We did our pitches quickly, then launched Rory's book from the Virgin Hotel restaurant, before eating. We arrived back in Brighton at 1am by train, walk and bus.

This was a Thursday and I finally got my car back Monday lunchtime, arriving back in Norfolk for teatime.

My personal quote is "Mastering life is all about mastering change." Rory's mentality is everything is good - there is no wrong.

Between us, that day put us both to the test, and we completed both missions as planned regardless of the changes along the way.

I was also so grateful to have an empty credit card with me as back up, to pay for the car repairs.

Follow more of my mission on this channel for helping adults who support teens and young adults and discover the empowering changes of Emotional Awareness.

Yesterday, I spoke at the Disability Confident event in Norwich, about emotional awareness, wellbeing at work, and how this is affected further by Neurodiversity.

I reminded them that employers can be parents of teenagers and young adults in depression, especially when suicidal, and that they may not be employing the person with the disability directly, to need to provide support to their staff.

I explained how emotional awareness can help regulate moods, settle and overwhelm, and build empathy skills both ways between them and employers.

I was fortunate to have an excellent employer when my son was suicidal. I would like to see more companies being able to support parents or young adults at work, where mental health issues are high.

With me in the photo is Michelle Rowlinson of Panacea Pause, a friend and networking colleague. She also got to have some life-changing conversations with key employment staff, HR, managers, DWP, and more who were at the event with us. She is inspiring employers to consider the disabiling effects of menopause and some of the extreme health conditions it can cause in women who are in work, from as early as their 30's.

As well as some follow up conversation to book, I'm looking forward to speaking again at another wellbeing event in April, to local MP's, GP'S, and top NHS staff, to highlight the importance of services like Seetec's Working Well employment advisors. Also the important of addressing emotional wellbeing as a positive means of supporting the mental health crisis.

During Rory Lemon's book launch, we had a fun intro, taking this image holding each other's books for the first time. It was the first time I held Emma Oldershaw's Critical Parenting Reframed, Rory's first time holding my book Brain Unchained, and Emma's first time holding Rory's NeuroCreative Recollections.

After 6 months of writing, publishing, releasing, and finally launching the last of these books, it was a special moment for us all to share on camera. You can find the whole video on the ‪@self-help-bookshelf‬

My book Brain Unchained had been published in 2020, while I had created 12 notebook designs during their writing process in 2024. I had also focused on creating the mentoring programme they followed to self-publish.

Now I'm ready to take on a few more authors who would LOVE to learn how to self-publish a Self-Help book.

It's amazing being an author because there's no competition, even with all the other self-help books available. I enjoy other books too, and the audio books by Ngaslife here on YouTube are fantastic.

We all need a little help - but with what? 🤷 It's amazing to see such growing interest in parents who seek Emotional Awareness and understanding for teenagers. 🙇

As a parent and grandparent, I know how their challenges hold them back, but also how it impacts us as parents, and grandparents supporting young parents. 🫶

That's why after rebuilding my life, health and business after illness and injury, (I wasn't ignoring you all, I was going through stuff), I have come back stronger and with more to offer.💪❣️

❤️‍🩹 If you're doing your best for your family but feeling stuck, I'm here to help.
❤️‍🩹 If you're feeling burnt out and overwhelmed by parenting, I can help.
❤️‍🩹 If you're lost for how to help your teen connect with their emotions, I'm here.

These are all the challenges I went through and found solutions that gave inspiration on days hope seemed bleak. I want to to find that hope, connect with the inspiration, and learn the strategies that turn life into living.

💛🧡❤🧡💛

As well as books, I have online courses at kayreeve.co.uk/
I have a Premium Program - Invitation Only

And for parents, young adults, neurodivergent individuals, trauma victims and more, there is the brand new Self Help Bookshelf! This is a collaborative of self help authors, here to support you by supporting each other. You can connect at...

"Mastering Life is all about Mastering Change"

Sometimes looking after your mind, means looking after your body. If alcohol can affect the mind, so can food. I have numerous food allergies that cause brain fog, confusion, dizziness, and other physical symptoms. By eating well, I can think clearer. How is your diet?
