Right, I'm making this post to share my opinion on the whole Melanie and Timothy situation. Well, I'm not going to share what side I am on or anything like that because no matter what side I say there will be backlash. The TikTok compilation of Melanie Martinez edits I made recently is going to be my last video making those compilations for Melanie. The reason is the fandom has become so toxic. Now I know there is a lot of evidence to show Melanie is innocent but there is also a lot of evidence to show she is guilty. But the only people who truly know what happened that night are Melanie and Timothy so this needs to be between them rather than their fans battling it out. I'm still going to listen to Melanie's music and potentially use it on this channel. Before people come at me for saying that, take a look at other celebrities who have been accused/have done similar things to Melanie (not saying she is guilty because like I said nobody knows what happened other than her and Timothy) or celebrities who have done way worse. They still get supported and people listen to their music. If the allegations are true, I'm going to separate the art from the artist (basically like her music but not Melanie as a person). The issue I've been seeing on TikTok is both Melanie fans and Timothy fans sending death threats to one another which is pathetic considering a large amount of Melanie's fans are under the age of 18. Everyone has the right to share their own opinion. Personally, I'm just going to say I'm on nobody's side because like I said the backlash people get for simply sharing an opinion is so extreme.
