As we wait out some mad weather systems, we’re in Lagos marina knocking off some projects during rainy and windy spells. We’ve had some lovely days here though! This week we took a scenic walk along the coastline and it didn’t disappoint! (absolute must-do when visiting this charming town!)
The Ponta de Piedade walk, offers stunning cliff formations, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and hidden caves... Ideally you don’t want to do this walk in sandals, if you’re planning on going off paths… and I speak from experience! 😂
The walk takes you along a well-marked path (sandals are absolutely fine here) allowing you to soak in the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. 🌊👀 We still can’t quite believe we’ve sailed here!
At the end of the walk, you'll reach a staircase that leads down to the beach….The views will leave you in awe. 🥹
Loving Lagos 🇵🇹

We have crossed over from Scotland to Cornwall in 3.5 days at sea! (video is coming SOON!)
Currently waiting in Penzance Harbour for a weather window to cross the Bay of Biscay and head to Spain. The anticipation is high! We've been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, waiting for the perfect (or at least reasonable) conditions to set sail. It's now a waiting game as a bit of a weather system passes through..
In the meantime, we're enjoying the beautiful scenery and exploring the charming town of Penzance whilst knocking off some boat jobs and eating way too much ice cream excited for the adventure ahead.
Have you crossed the Bay of Biscay? If you had to give us one piece of advice, what would it be? ⛵️
P.S This was the sunrise on the morning of our crossing!

Our life right now is all about preparing Ragdoll & tidying up our 'land life' before we move aboard Ragdoll over the coming weeks, before we finally set off to the Mediterranean for a couple of years.. or longer? Who knows?
Check out our latest episode to find out more about our sailing plans for 2023.
We plan to leave the UK in late March/early April this year and our to-do list, at the moment, seems never-ending. Kudos to full time sailors who have done this before us, because, well... it's not that simple. Especially when you have children, dogs and full time jobs to take care of.
Excitement in our house is through the roof... as are the nerves.
Any tips & trips to make the transitions easier, are as always, most welcome!
Fair winds to you all & thank you all for subscribing ⛵️

Ahoy sailors!
We are a family of three - Chris, Daria & Jasper. We have been sailing the coasts of Scotland, exploring one island at a time, for a while now.. but.. it's time for a change of scenery! Our floating circus also includes two golden retrievers and a bernese mountain dog – Hachi, Luna and Meems. Because why make life easier? Those happy bundles of hair make life just a little more fun, and at times, somewhat challenging, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.
We sail on a 1995 Gib’Sea 472 who have refitted and made our own over the last couple of years. In April 2023, we are leaving Scotland. We are leaving the UK. We're heading towards warmer climates of the Mediterranean. There is no set route or plan. We will go where the wind and life take us.
If you see us floating around, don't be afraid to say hello. We don't bite.. at least yet. Your subscriptions, comments and likes are greatly appreciated.
See you around!
Daria & Chris, Jasper & the borking woofballs!
