There's a thin line between listening to reply and listening to understand.

Listening to a reply is like you're more focused on your response than on what they're trying to communicate.

On the other hand, listening to understand is about empathizing with their perspective and trying to see things from their point of view.

When was the last time you really listened to someone to understand them, without thinking about what you were going to say next?

I wish someone told me these truths about entrepreneurship when I was starting.

[SAVE IT]👇🏻

Truth #1: The Laws of Detachment

I used to think success was all about sending out emails, pitching to journalists, and crossing my fingers for a response. But here's the deal: nobody owes you a thing. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro, you control the effort, not the outcome.

Truth #2: People Succeed Through People

The fastest route to success? Community. It's not just about raising funds; it's about building relationships, giving first, and fostering trust. Every business is a people's business.

Truth #3: Goals Ebb And Flow

Pivoting is key. Markets change, new players emerge, and it's okay for your goals to shift along the way. Adaptation is the name of the game.

Truth #4: Corrective Experiences

Entrepreneurship challenges you to push past your limits. It's about confronting fears, taking risks, and growing in ways you never thought possible.

Truth #5: You Are Your Top Investment

Amidst the chaos, don't forget why you started. Your well-being matters. Take breaks, breathe, and remember: you're in the driver's seat of your own success.

What's one truth about entrepreneurship that you've learned along your journey?

If you don't ask, the answer is always no.
Let go of your ego and ask for the opportunity.
What do you think about this?👇🏻🤔

"Entrepreneurship is hard, it's not everyone's cup of chai"

Well, it is. Let me share a short incident:

Last week I was searching about cars on Google and suddenly got flooded with car ads on other social media platforms.

See, many people believe entrepreneurship starts with a ground-breaking idea. But that's not it. It's about spotting opportunities in the market.

Take those ads, I searched for cars, and they targeted car lovers or people who searched for cars in the last 7 days, I was bombarded with car ads and now it's affecting my decision.

That's the essence of start-ups.

It's not about flashy products or unique features. It's about seizing opportunities and running with them.

Think of Google. It didn't invent the internet, but it made finding information easy. Uber simplified getting from A to B. Salesforce streamlined business contacts.

Entrepreneurship boils down to this: find a need, build a solution, and run it efficiently. It's not rocket science.

It's just good business.

Have you ever spotted a market opportunity that others overlooked?

One of the influencer books I read last year was, "How to Win Friends and Influence People".

Though it was written in 1936, this is still relevant in 2024.

Here are 10 quotes that I felt everyone should read:

1. "You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you."

2. "The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it."

3. "Talk to someone about themselves, and they’ll listen for hours."

4. "Criticism is futile because it puts a person on the defensive and usually makes them strive to justify themselves."

5. "A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language."

6. "Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain, but it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving."

7. "The only way on earth to influence other people is to talk about what they want and show them how to get it."

8. "Actions speak louder than words, and a smile says, ‘I like you. You make me happy. I am glad to see you.’"

9. "When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion."

10. "You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind."

Which quote resonates with you the most, and how do you plan to apply it in your life?

Communication is key in Leadership.

Here's 3-step-process to communicate effectively:

1. Inform:

As a leader, you need to ensure your team members and stakeholders are kept updated with every piece of information and are equipped with the knowledge that they need to get their job done.

For eg: Sharing decision outcomes that impact your team or stakeholders.

2. Inspire:

As a leader, your second stage of communication is Inspire.

Inspiration goes beyond just information sharing. When you inspire, you ignite passion, fuel motivation, and trigger positive emotions in your audience.

For eg: Sharing a compelling story that resonates with your team.

3. Influence:

While informing and inspiring lay the groundwork for communication, influence is the catalyst that propels action.

As a leader, you need to influence your team, your stakeholders, and your boss to shape opinions, attitudes, and behaviours.

For eg: Compelling others to change their perspective.

In reality, the three I's often overlap and complement each other, and that further amplifies their impact.

Building a brand that emotionally touches your audience is every marketing head's dream.

Many brands like Imperial Blue, Tata, and Manforce have done this successfully.

Here's how it works:

1️⃣ Mystery: Ever been drawn to something because it's mysterious? That's the power of mystery in branding.

It piques curiosity, making people eager to learn more. You can create mystery by teasing new products or sharing your brand's origin story.

2️⃣ Sensuality: Take, for example, custom scents in hotels. They create a unique ambiance, making guests feel special. Similarly, your brand can focus on a signature characteristic, like a specific scent or texture.

3️⃣ Intimacy: This is about building relationships. Brands like LEGO and Apple excel here. They don't just sell products; they foster communities of passionate fans.

By gathering feedback, launching loyalty programs, and offering exceptional service, you can nurture intimacy with your audience.

What are the brands that you feel emotionally connected to? Let me know in the comments👇🏻

Here are 4 simple tricks to make life smoother:

1. Stay calm when faced with raised voices: Yelling isn't the answer. It's like trying to use a hammer for everything, it might work for a while, but it's not sustainable.

Remember, staying calm doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're strong enough to handle the situation wisely.

2. Write down your thoughts when stressed: Take a moment to jot down your thoughts. It's like giving your brain a break, allowing you to untangle those messy thoughts and find clarity.

Have you ever tried writing down your feelings when you're stressed?

3. Improve confidence with posture: Posture matters more than you think! Sitting up straight isn’t just about looking good; it boosts your brainpower too!

When you stand tall, your mind follows suit. It’s like telling your brain, “Hey, we’ve got this!” So, straighten that spine and let confidence flow!

4. Ask for help in a way that makes people feel valued: None of us can do it alone! Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness; it's a strength.

How do you make others feel appreciated when seeking their assistance?

Remember, life is a journey best shared with others.

Let's learn from each other and grow together! What's one psychological trick you find helpful in your daily life?
