Takagi Yoshiyuki, o terceiro capitão da Osaka Damashii, que passou a ser o capitão após o capitão anterior chamado Morigami, passar a sua posição de capitão ao Takagi, fazendo assim com que Takagi passasse a ser o seu sucessor a partir daquele momento. E das 3 gerações de capitães da Osaka Damashii, Takagi foi quem se tornou o mais poderoso ao decorrer do manga (inclusive, desde o inicio da série, o que já diferenciava o Takagi dos capitães anteriores, era sua genialidade em combate, já que mesmo quando Takagi só sabia Karatê, ele tinha uma capacidade única de copiar técnicas de outras artes marciais apenas olhando), e o que fez com que Takagi se tornasse o mais forte dos capitães, é o fato de que ele foi o capitão no momento mais terrível do Japão, onde diversas organizações/facções ao redor do país e do mundo, tinham a ambição de criar sua própria revolução na terra, e a Osaka Damashii era muito conhecida mundialmente pela popularidade dos lendários capitães e suas batalhas épicas ao redor do pais, então muitos desses lideres ao redor do mundo, que tinham a ambição de dominar o pais, declararam guerra contra a Osaka, com o objetivo de derrotar de vez a Osaka Damashii para que eles pudesse ter domínio total sobre o Japão. Então a medida que cada arco se avançava, e inimigos cada vez mais poderosos iam surgindo, o Takagi passa a ir treinando com diversos mestres diferentes ao longo da série, e vai aprendendo novas artes marciais e também técnicas de ki. E no último arco do manga, Takagi já tinha domínio de todas as artes marciais que eram consideradas as mais poderosas da terra, e mesmo assim não eram o suficiente para derrotar o poderoso Gouki Akamatsu que era o general de Hiroshima Guretai Oni. Gouki tinha o titulo de "o mais forte entre os mais fortes do planeta" sua arte marcial era a Kido-ryu Aikijujutsu, que foi desenvolvida por especialistas em todas as artes marciais e dados sobre fisiologia, biologia, mecânica sexual etc.

高木義志 本編の主人公。関五工空手部主将で、大阪最大の暴走族･「狂気連合（きょうきれんごう）」頭兼三代目大阪魂。ただし、本人は余り大勢とつるむ事や、無用な喧嘩を好まない。又、「どんな悪人であっても男は女を守らなければならない」との主義の下、基本的に女性に手を挙げないが、小川小百合の放った真島朴によって竹内兄妹が瀕死の重傷を負った際には、怒りの余り小川を殴る寸前までいった。通称･「極道の高木」。年齢:17歳・身長:186cm･体重:93kg。口髭と稲妻カットがトレードマーク。当初は空手技を主体に戦っていたが、強敵に出会うたびに新たな拳法を習得していき、太極拳･神極拳･邪極拳を習得し龍天昇等々の強力な拳法を使いこなす様になっていった。愛用のバイクはカワサキ・Z400FXで、平山との対決の際に吉村によってチューンされている。
善と悪編にて僧大坊と行った験力の修行によって、精神世界で己の姿をした煩悩に打ち勝つ。しかし、神から完全な験力を授かる寸前でデス・ゲーム本戦を迎え、佐川らに起こされてしまう。そのため、当初は験力発動時に剛之助の悪の血によってもう一つの人格が目覚めており、制御しきれていなかった。しかし、精神世界で再会した神が再び験力を授け、高木に剛之助を許すよう告げたことで完全に験力を扱えるようになった。完全な験力を使用すると表情こそ通常のものだが、額に溜が生じる。
最終回のエピローグでは当時の古田警視総監の尽力によって人知れず出所し、桃千代を妻としていた。そして桃千代と共にアフリカに渡り、物資を略奪しようとする武装組織を素手で一蹴して目的地へ向かう所で物語は幕を閉じる。

Mas tarde Jinrai viu Itsuki tendo um caso com Morigami, e após Morigami ir embora, Jinrai resolve entrar na cafeteria da Itsuki por ter se incomodado com a cena que ele viu mais cedo, Itsuki pegou um frasco de ácido sulfúrico enquanto ela e Jinrai discutiam, Jinrai se aproxima da Itsuki e ela acidentalmente derruba o frasco de ácido sulfúrico em um lado do rosto de Jinrai, e isso resultou nessa queimadura enorme que Jinrai tem em um lado do rosto. Isso acabou afetando a visão de Jinrai, fazendo com que ele ficasse quase cego de um olho... E pouco tempo depois disso, Jinrai acabou se desentendendo com Morigami, eles tiveram uma luta valendo a sucessão de Capitão da Osaka Damashii, então eles tiveram uma luta feroz e ambos se feriram gravemente ao se acertaram ao mesmo tempo com suas técnicas mais poderosas, o Morigami foi acertado no rosto, assim resultando em uma cicatriz que Morigami tem em um lado do rosto, porem ele acertou Jinrai no estomago com sua técnica mais poderosa a Ryoto Shoteiken, enquanto Jinrai acerta Morigami com sua técnica Inazuma Ken. Morigami é derrotado e fica inconsciente, e quando ele acordou não encontrou Jinrai, já que o mesmo tinha desaparecido de Osaka, com isso Morigami acaba se tornando o novo capitão da Osaka Damashii (Mais tarde, o próprio Morigami, passa o titulo de capitão para Takagi que na época já era um membro muito forte da Osaka Damashii, Morigami sucedeu o titulo de capitão por espontânea vontade, já que ele confiava muito nas habilidades de Takagi.)
Porém, dois anos depois Morigami recebe uma notícia sobre Jinrai, na qual ele fica sabendo que Jinrai tinha dominado a cidade de Shikoku e estava muito mais poderoso que na época em que os dois se enfrentaram, já que Jinrai passou a treinar com o velho mestre Kou Ryuun, e Kou Ryuun foi quem ensinou Tai Chi e controle de Ki a Jinrai, e depois de Jinrai concluir seu treino ele partiu, e passou a cobrir seu rosto com uma mascara, óculos escuros, um quepe e também usava um sobretudo branco, e por baixo do sobretudo ele usava uma roupa militar um tanto estilosa. E Jinrai passou a se intitular como o Deus de Shikoku, ele formou um exército de milhares de soldados nomeados como "A Aliança de Shikoku" e acima desses soldados, Jinrai criou outro grupo de elite chamado "Os Quatro Demónios de Shikoku" e os quatro membros da elite desse grupo eram Katsumi Takanuki, Toru Nakai, Hiroyuki Tanaka e Atsushi Asakura. E a essa altura o Jinrai já estava acima do governo, a ponto do governo teme-lo e ainda dar total proteção a ele. E mais tarde quando Jinrai retorna a Osaka, ele se revela a Takagi e Morigami, assim tirando sua mascara e seu quepe, revelando que o poderoso Deus de Shikoku era ele, o próprio Jinrai Isao.

神雷功 初代大阪魂にして関五工空手部先々代主将であり、高木と忌羅に空手を教えた。得意の稲妻拳は凄まじいハンドスピードを誇り、相手の血が稲妻の様に飛び散る事から「赤い稲妻」と呼ばれる。顔の左半分に火傷痕がある。元々は男気のある人物であり、不自由な者達を自由に導く為に大阪魂となっている。また、その横暴を恨む者達からリンチを受けていた鬼熊時代の蔵王を救い、「力は「我」の為ではなく、人が行うべき正しい道理･「義」の為に使うもの」と諭し、改心させている。
森上や高木のよき兄貴分であったが、ある出来事がきっかけで歪んでしまい、決別。流雲から太極拳を学んで剛柔双方を合わせ持った拳を編み出し、さらに発勁をも習得するが、発勁に関しては不完全だった。そして四国の実力者達を率いて「死国連合（しこくれんごう）」を結成。大阪に乗り込む。森上や神戸の三本柱達を撃破するが、太極拳を修得した高木に部下たちを倒され直接対決となる。死闘の末に高木と発勁の打ち合いとなるも、完成形となった高木の発勁に敗れる。重傷を負うも強靭な肉体が幸いして一命を取り留め改心、少年院に入る。
出所後東京でデビッドに銃撃された高木を助け、その後は傷をおしてまで大東京連合に立ち向かおうとする高木を制止しようと立ちはだかるも、その熱意に打たれて道を譲り、以降も高木を助け続ける。

Acredito que muitos que jogaram Aggressors of Dark Kombat/痛快GANGAN行進曲 já se perguntaram do porque o jogo não tem um chefe final, no site criado pelos ex-desenvolvedores da ADK, é dito que inicialmente o personagem Leonhalt foi planejado para ser o chefe do jogo, ele seria o último personagem que o jogador enfrentaria, na história dizia que ele seria definido como um nobre que controla Hakumo, uma ilha solitária que se tornou um covil do mal no Pacífico Sul.
Na imagem do design inicial tinha linhas finas e era delicado, então Shinji Moriyama adicionou mais massa muscular para fazer com que o personagem parecesse o chefe final, mas devido a semelhança com um personagem de Hokuto no Ken (coisa que já vimos em um jogo de luta anterior da mesma empresa chamado World Heroes), os desenvolveres resolveram mudar o design e a história do personagem e coloca-lo como um dos personagens selecionáveis do jogo, e infelizmente por causa do pouco espaço restante na Rom devido aos grandes detalhes inovadores que forem incluídos em cada personagem e nos cenários, acabou não sobrando espaço para criarem um chefe final fixo para o jogo... Então foi decidido que o chefe final seria personagens diferentes para cada um (envolvendo um dos 8 personagens selecionáveis), nas imagens seguintes, o design do personagem foi mudando bastante até chegar ao seu estado final que é conhecido hoje 👍💖

初期のデザイン画は細い線で繊細だったので、森山真司さんが筋肉量を増やして最終ボスらしく見せていたのですが、北斗の拳のキャラクターに似ているという理由でデザインを変更し、作り直しました。各キャラクターとシナリオに含まれる革新的な詳細により、ゲームの固定の最終ボスを作成するスペースがもう残っていませんでした。最終ボスはキャラクターごとに異なる（選択可能な8人のキャラクターのみが関与する）ことが決定されました 次の画像では、今日知られている最終状態に到達するまでのレオンハルトのデザインの変更 👍💖
